somewhere around 2012. I wanted to have something on my wall as a teen.

I have a soft spot for my Paracesis with the chroma deluxe sword skin. It’s fun to just swing a big slab of metal around and see red numbers pop off.

Verdillac with Mag is silly fun. Put a vortex on a guy and fling gas orbs into it to clear a crowd.

Trumna is my favorite primary, even if it’s technically not as good as a dedicated AoE weapon. When the alt fire headshot crits just right, oooooo it’s great. Sepulcrum’s good too, but its alt fire is a harder to use than “point and shoot”.

For context, we’re playing an elder scrolls RPG in my tabletop group. We’ve been meeting the various leaders of cyrodiil. They were handing out cute quests like “hey, can you grab some authentic akaviri swords folded over a million times then dropped in a hole in the ground for me?” and “pls help, I think my goober son is getting into a mischief.”

The count of skingrad just straight up officially sanctioned a murder in the streets of a vigilant of stendarr.

margherita pizza, followed by trashy pizza.

i only draw the line at microwaved pizza, I’d absolutely demolish that.

You can still play it, you know. Those rules didn’t go anywhere.

Is baruuk good? I liked punch weapons when I was a wee babxcalibur, but never really went back to them. I don’t want to do more vox solaris stuff to get his base frame, but I do have his prime gathering dust.

HipsterTenZero,
@HipsterTenZero@dormi.zone avatar

Oh, nice. I somehow missed any talk about baruuk during all of my time in warframe. Maybe I’ll splurge on the deluxe skin and make him my next frame to obsess over for a month or two like I’m doing with Sevagoth right now.

You might really like the new thing just as much or even more. Team fortress was a new thing once, too.

Aww, that’s kind of sweet. Good looking out, docs.

I can also recommend the game Vermis, which is just the manual, with no game attached

I've been landscaping instead of planting for some reason, but loving the results. (lemmy.world)

Rock is called Alberta Rainbow Rock, probably under a different name elsewhere, shows its color when wet. I cut a strip of grass out so I could have the rock be about 4” deep where the grass is. Other than that left the old grass to compost underneath the rest.

Urgh, I resent the english language so much. It’s so inconsistent and weird and unintuitive, which my dumb-dumb rules-focused brain just does not gel with. We should all just use Esperanto or something instead.

You know what, YEAH, I DO

FUCK language, when’s true 1-to-1 perfect transmission of information and meaning coming out? Get on it, linguists/wizards!

Brazing rods are currently the easiest to make, just melt down every piece of copper you can find from homes (pots, washing machine internals, sinks, toilets, baths), alloy it with aluminum from rooftop gutters, and sprinkle in some detergent. EZ

With fences being transformed into mild steel, welding wires are tougher to make, but you can bleed acidic zombies and distill their blood into more usable acids for making these. It’s also a good way to use lead-acid batteries you otherwise weren’t going to use.

Hi, I’m a quarter of a year late but I’d like to contribute.

Melee: National guard bayonet

Secondary: Service Pistol with FMJ rounds

Aux1: a drop leg pouch filled to bursting with caltrops

Aux2: a radio modded noise emitter & RC control

grenades: Acid Bombs

Most of these can be sourced from zombies except the auxilliaries. The caltrops used to be stupid easy to make, but require welding now. The electronics require a bit of electrical know-how and some lucky (but not exceedingly rare) drops.

Honestly I just abuse the fact that nobody can see too well in the dark. I walk into crowds with the knife out, avoiding combat as much as possible to plant a 2x2 array of caltrops in a busy location, drop the noisemaker, and run away. Once out of the way, I use the RC control to activate the noisemaker, luring the zombos onto the caltrops. Only the armored and trap-avoid enemies can withstand this technique, which is what the acid bombs and FMJ are for. Hulks are a cakewalk with this setup, but migos and necromancers are my biggest problems.

oh fuck, i haven’t even seen that, but it sounds llke a nightmare. Raptors suck, but they’re manageable one-by-one. I always groan when I see a pupating zombie trail, because its a dice roll whether or not I can dispatch it before it pops. Having it linked up to a hulk sounds like a “dynamite bomb” kind of problem. Weirdly enough, it got a lot harder to make those since I last played, too…

I actually tried out molotovs on a few occasions, but found they’re generally more trouble than they were worth - acid works slower, but cleans up quicker too. No risk of hurting precious loot, either. But damn if it didn’t get good results.

you know, weirdly enough, my last death also included a grenade and a bike. I was retreating from a few beefed up zombies on the way back to the base, and whimsically decided to leave them a parting gift. I turned 180 on my scrapbike, upped the acceleration to get out of the splash zone, activated a grenade, and threw. I uh, didn’t throw the right grenade though…

Glorious mutation’s the best. It offsets the ugly penalty of your other more practical mutations somewhat, helping with not getting shot in the face by new friends.

Fridge, solar panel array, and blahaj. No home is complete without them.
