Hearing that Sinéad O’Connor died hurts in the same way for me as when hearing that Prince or Kurt Cobain died. She was a prominent voice of my generation. I hope she rests in peace and that her family and fans can seek solace in her work and her courage to speak truth to power.

@bryanhansel I remember seeing her once. She was being booed and only Kris Kistopherson came out and stood by her. This was during Bush. If the trend holds it will be the single largest annual decline in the murder rate ever recorded.
