@Tomsprints2 there are a lot of paintings out there that I wish someone would have photographed when they were painted. I think museums would be better that way.

@smallsees I've seen 20-footers and have seen the aftermath of waves bigger than that on the big lake. the light in this lighthouse is 48 feet (15 m) above the water level.

@sortius I used to guide sea kayaking and have paddled some long expeditions, and from my experience fresh water waves are much more difficult to paddle in than salt water. They are steep and have short periods and move faster. If you get a chance watch the documentary "Unsalted."

I realized today that there's been a dark and moody theme running through my photography since the start of the pandemic. It isn't all my work, but it has been a constant addition and is different than what I did before.

I don't know much about art, but I try to practice expressive photography, in which I try to put my emotions into the photos, so it makes sense it is there. I just didn't notice that I had so many of these darker images.

The talking heads on TV news have done a good job of convincing their audiences that they aren't the elite. Hiring Ronna McDaniel to be a talking head should be a clue that the major news sources are fundamentally corrupt to their core.
