I can root my s23 ultra (from what I’ve read at least), however I choose not to because it would permanently break Knox and there would be no way of undoing that outside of replacing the logic board.

With that said, my next phone will probably be a Fairphone.

Foo Peruvian Heroes - My Hero | Peru is ready for the Foo Fighters (Official Video) (youtu.be)

My nephew was a big part in this event and wanted me to share the video. If this isn’t the right community for it, I am sorry, but I would also appreciate if someone knew where this could be shared as I don’t really have social media.

I don’t think I could pick just one thing as success is usually a combination of things (including dumb luck).

However, if I had to, I would pick staying positive and never giving up on success.

I’m trying to hold off as a new microcenter will open this year in town

No, but you can get something like this to do what you are asking

This canister opening has to be conducted under the most pristine conditions to not contaminate the sample, so this was quite the issue.

Since they couldn’t just take a circular saw and cut through it

And here I was going to suggest some WD-40 or a blow torch could help.

Merrell, Doc Martin, L. L. Bean, The North Face, Fjällräven for clothing and accessories.

Bullhidebelts makes some really nice authentic leather belts that actually last because they aren’t those synthetic belts with leather veneer like Gucci, Luis Vutton, or others push for stupid high prices.

Logitech makes some good quality pc peripherals that have exceptional battery life.

Invicta has also impressed me in recent years with their watches. I was gifted a clone of the Rolex Submariner and it’s a very good copy without the high price of a Rolex. It’s been so good that most Rolex owners I’ve met buy an Invicta watch as a daily driver.

Edit: Seeing the comments a bunch mentioned Doc Martin as junk now, so I checked and they did get bought by a Chinese company, so maybe not those any more.

They are great, so long as you know how to season them and clean them properly. My wife always has problems cooking on them because she doesn’t let the skillet fully heat up well, but I never have had issues with them 😁

I’ve actually gone to Dickies and they feel as great as Carheart used to be, but it’s too soon to tell yet

They outlast BEACAUSE they don’t have that many bells and whistles.

Give me an old whirlpool from 15-20 years ago, those things where tanks before they started making them “Smart”

And they come in and just start talking and don’t stop even if you try to explain you are watching that

I'm socially awkward, how do I greet coworkers?

When I go to work I find it difficult to greet my coworkers when they’re talking, and my coworkers talk a lot. I don’t want to disturb them, so I don’t say anything and let them speak. After that I don’t find it necessary to greet them, because we’ve already seen each other. I don’t do it to troll them or because I...

I would talk to a therapist about this, tbh.

I used to be like this and found therapy to be eye opening to both a mental condition I had and how to cope with it, now I feel more approachable (used to bother me when coworkers would constantly distract me). Therapy gives you a different perspective on life.

I feel like it depends on how it’s cooked as I have tried tripe and it’s felt sometimes cartilage (which I hate), and on a fuew cases musclely which is what I would expect a well made tripe to feel in the mouth

Not only is this a great story on its own, but it proves that you don’t have to be young to find your true calling in life. So many people struggle with the thought of what they should be doing with their life that they don’t actually live their life because they are thinking about what they should do. Just do something you enjoy or are curious about trying, if you like it great! If you don’t, try the next thing.

things rich people with a lot of time on their hands say

Well I guess I’m rich even though I don’t feel rich

Sure I guess most people don’t think like this, but they should.

I came to this country with little less than a suitcase at the age of 19 to live in a rented room at first and now I am in my mid 40s paying for 2 kids through college, and here is a list of the jobs I’ve worked in.

  • Auto Mechanic
  • Gutter Cleanning
  • Construction
  • Factory Assembly line (twice)
  • Butcher
  • Music Sales Associate
  • New and Used Car Sailsmen
  • Electronics Store Associate
  • IT Help Desk tech
  • Police Officer
  • Gas Station Fuel Systems Service Tech
  • Back End Programmer
  • Front End Developer
  • Graphics Designer

Honestly, if given the opportunity, I would like to try Carpentry next, but I still have plenty of life in me to try other jobs.

I know some people might have a harder time finding or surviving with a job I totally blame the economy we have created for ourselves but I can say I’ve never let a job description or experience wanted deter me from applying for a job, the only thing that has stopped me was a diploma, and even then I just went and studied my ass off to get the certification or diploma I needed to do the job.

I hope that whatever barriers you have, that you find a way to overcome them and succeed.

Always remember that on any given day several people are having a shitty day.

When I saw someone mentioned HDMI cables I knew I would find Monster reference somewhere, and I was pleasantly surprised it was so high up the chain of replies.
