What is a good hobby for a depressed person?

So i still have depression and im constantly bored, i feel like a loser who cant do anything right. I want to let my creativeness out, make something i can share with the world or family, but im probably dreaming too big. I cant stand being depressed and bored, it stinks, everyone tells me to work out but i lack the motivation...

You can start small with making comics by downloading a free drawing app and just experimenting. The one I use is called ibis Paint X but there really are tons of them.

What I do is when I notice I’m just scrolling for no reason, I’ll switch apps and try to draw something instead. Sometimes I like what I draw and other times I don’t; the important thing is to just spend time doing it.

Fwiw, I’ve been using the free version of Sync since yesterday and still haven’t seen a single ad. But also, it’s like they just aren’t live yet because I do see an occasional empty box with “sponsored content” labeled in the center.

It does not surprise me companies are making people go back to the office. Not just in Australia but around the world. There are a lot of people abusing the situation. It sucks but I saw this was going to happen when work from home first started getting rolled out back at the beginning of Covid....

Tips for Non Smokers in a Legal state

Going to Oregon to meet some friends for a few days. They don’t smoke at all but are curious and willing to imbibe a bit. I have previously gotten them edibles (Federally Legal Delta 9) but want to introduce them to some smoking as well if they are interested. I also want to get a little fucked up in a legal state....

Depending on the area you might have limited dispensary options, the big cities in Oregon have tons of dispensaries but smaller towns usually have like 1 or none. I’d recommend going shopping in one of the cities so you have more variety to choose from.

Also I’d recommend buying a cheap silicone bong. They’re indestructible so you won’t have to be so careful with them or go through any heartbreak if a drop occurs; perfect for just focusing on the smoking and fun parts of your trip.

Hot is the best way to see new, good content consistently. Sorting by top or active will show about the same posts, in my experience.

I typically sort by top + all, then top + subscribed to see the most-engaged posts of the day first; afterwards if I still want to browse I sort by hot + subscribed or new + all.

It varies by instance. Lemmy.ee has a low cap on image upload size because it’s a small instance, but I think lemmy.world allows uploads of a larger size.

You can also use another image hosting site like imgur or pixelfed and link from those in the URL section of your post.
