June,

Seriously thought it was the side of a knee.

June,

Before I started actively boycotting them for their support of anti-LGBTQ work, I always felt their chicken was only ok. I think burger king’s Ch’King is way better and that Arby’s chicken sandwich is also superior. When they finally got to my market I was thrilled and then very quickly let down.

June,

As a member of the LGBTQ community myself, I don’t begrudge you that at all. My feelings on the matter are my own and I don’t need or expect others to conform to them.

I just also happen to not like them at all so it helps with the boycott 😅

June,

I haven’t had Popeyes in so long. There’s only one near me but there’s so much more that I love between here and there.

June,

I’m a little shocked at how difficult it seems to be to find instructions on how to disable this feature. Pretty sure I got it, but it wasn’t a feature called discover together but a series of sharing options.

Pope punishes leading critic Cardinal Burke in second action against conservative American prelates (apnews.com)

Pope Francis has decided to punish one of his highest-ranking critics, Cardinal Raymond Burke, by revoking his right to a subsidized Vatican apartment and salary in the second such radical action against a conservative American prelate this month, according to two people briefed on the measures....

June,

It honestly feels imminent.

June,

Remember anecdote should not be treated as empirical.

I know some Catholics that may as well be evangelicals with extra steps, but I know more that are far from it. It happens to be that the ones that aren’t essentially evangelicals are just quiet about it.

June,

According to my quick GPT4 search, yes they can. There are some roles they won’t allow us color deficient folks to hold, but generally speaking it’s not a blocker.

June,

My super automatic espresso machine. Dead simple to use and so much cheaper than operating a keurig. I bought it because I’m awful at real coffee machines and need to have a single serve option. Being able to use whole beans has made it pay for itself in the 3 years I’ve had it.

June,

I recently picked up a 13 year old dell inspiron to run my instance of home assistant and Plex. It was an upgrade from a shitty old Linux laptop that was literally falling apart. All I had to do was add ram (it only had 6gb and it wasn’t stable, so I maxed it out with 16gb) and I swapped the old slow HDD for a crucial SATA SSD and it’s been perfect. It probably pulls more wattage than necessary but it’s exactly what I need for now.

June,

I use the Philips EP3221/44

I paid $700 for it but it’s available on places like Amazon $400.

Works great, minimal maintenance, and makes good enough coffee. The milk frother is fine but you won’t be making any latte art with it.

June,

Yea, these movies are terrible now but I still want 30 more.

June,

Ah man, I can’t imagine not even being able to toss my Dino nugs in the toaster oven. Same amount of work just a bit more time and 1000% better than microwaved. And I’m a depressed fuck. Someone who can’t even muster that much together must really be suffering. :(

June,

I really need one but just can’t afford it right now.

June,

Dying?

That shits been dead since the 60’s at least. It had been thoroughly dragged through the streets and mutilated by the 80’s. It’s been dead long enough that it’s not even a rotting corpse anymore, it’s just bones in a pile slowly turning to dust.

In 30 years no one who was alive before it died will still be around and it will be a forgotten concept that lives on in the imagination of children as an echo of times past while they brave the streets as they’ve had to drop out of school and work alongside their parents to make sure the family has enough money to buy dinner.

June,

I don’t want to be rich.

I want to not worry about my car breaking down and being unable to work or live because of it. I want to not worry about covering my mortgage and also having food in the fridge. I want to not worry about my 16 year old water heater failing on me and knowing that it’ll be, at minimum, months before I can replace it.

That’s all I want.

June,

Long before that.

June,

I was a DINK until October last year.

I kept the house because I can swing the payments. But just barely. It’s been a tough year adjusting to having a slim budget again, but I’ve made it. Not without worming a second job and denying myself a lot of small luxuries that would have made my mental health.

I’m asking for a raise, but am guessing it’s not going to come.

June,

Sausage gravy can be pretty damn good. It uses sausage fat and ground sausage with a cream base. It also a breakfast food, which I presume I different from yours (brown gravy?)

June,

Here’s the recipe I use. It’s dead simple and absolute fire:

allrecipes.com/…/easy-sausage-gravy-and-biscuits/

I prefer jimmy dean sage sausage, but any breakfast sausage (ground, not links) should work. Water won’t work, you need to use milk. I also like to add butter to the pan before adding the milk.

June,

You’re being pedantic. It’s gravy.

June,

This has been the goal since at least the 80’s. I was raised with the intention of being a part of it.

June,

Yea, you’re right.

Sorry bb. Do we have to stop at kissing? I’m an enthusiastic consent kinda person so I don’t wanna come on too strong with the expectation of make-up sex.

Edit wait: you’re an adult right? God please be an adult
