Hi all, I recently got into the world of ergo mech by borrowing a friend’s old Iris v2, and I really love how powerful and customizable things can be with QMK firmware....
The fulcrum comes to mind: It has a 5-way joystick (up, down, left, right and push) for the thumbs. You can always add tenting if you want (some alternatives)
You also can check some of the split kbdatabases if someone created something similar.
As I’m graduating college in a few weeks, I’ll be losing access to my university’s free printers and filament. I’m going to build up a home lab with a couple printers where I can make goofy little mechanical projects as well as some components for my cars and stuff....
Thanks for the tip with the shop (shipping is reasonable and electronic components are well priced)! Cannot help with Azurefilm filament as I haven’t tried it yet.
I started designing the Qazimodo in February and just got the first aluminum case from the manufacturer a couple days ago. Very happy with how it turned out.
Neat! I’ve been looking for an CoreXY for sub 1k. Also open source and fast - very exciting! I’ll wait for the reviews to see if it holds up to the promises.
Unfortunately as you found out QMK is not officially supported. But there is a port called SonixQMK which supports this board. This firmware also supports OpenRGB, so you can integrate the light even better in your setup.
Does anyone have a brand of PLA they like that offers refillable spools? I’m digging Overture and Elegoo using cardboard spools but if I could get/print a refillable one and buy just the filament itself going forward that would be an even nicer solution.
So, I have always wanted to do multi filament printing. The thought of doing multicolor or washable supports has been such a cool idea and I tried to make that a reality all the way back when I bought my Geeetech A10M… And oh boy did I hate it. (Don’t do single extruder multi filament kids, it ain’t worth the headache.)...
I have - no problem doing this with qwerty also. It put me on a journey to minimal keyboards. What motivated me was eliminating unnecessary keys and reducing hand movement . Needless to say I really like it.
False positives happen - especially in the beginning but firmwares like QMK and ZMK have all kinds of smart behaviors that can be adjusted to fit the users needs.

What's your go-to "Bang for your Buck" filament brand?

There's no place like `[::1]`
I bet all those people that got tattoos of “There’s no place like 127.0.0.1” are so embarrassed now that IPv6 has been adopted globally.

Any recommendations for refillable PLA filament?
