I (early GenX) grew up with I have not seen an eye opener in the past months.

I don’t see a problem with the phrasing. Jams is saying “this is what I saw” which is really a product of their environment. This isn’t a ban-worthy comment. This is an educational moment. This is an opportunity to say “that’s not what happened, you were fed a bunch of propaganda.”

Edit: ok, it’s a stats website or something? idk why this would be useful to the average player or the dev is upset. I don’t need to know how many people are playing XYZ game. Maybe I just play weird, indie stuff so that player count isn’t ever going to be a useful ranking metric, but why would a player care?

I agree with closed beta, but for a different reason: I hate beta testing software. I don’t have time for that anymore. Maybe if I was in my 20’s or younger. I only want complete games, relatively bug free.

Kinda related, I had surgery a few years back and it required a 3 day hospital stay. It was a glorious, relaxing vacation. No one asked me to do anything, people took care of me, fed me, etc. Recovery pain was worth it. I still remember it fondly.

Comparing it to my regular life is depressing, lol.

I understand a fantasy and a one time thing like tipping on a guys night out at a strip club, but some of these guys think they are in a relationship with someone they will never meet and don’t even know their real name or life details.

I’ve thought about it. It’s tempting because it’s simple. When you spend time and energy on your wife and she doesn’t give anything back, it’s very lonely. A cam girl is simple. Money goes in, attention comes out. It’s not exactly what I want but it’s got a higher success rate that what I’ve got now.

I struggle with boycotting a business for moral reasons, because they’re all fucking garbage. The ones we know about are just stupid enough to get caught.

That said, unless Diablo 4 is half off, or the game gets significantly better, then skip it. It’s very mid. It was good on launch, nerfed to shit about a month later, and barely decent, now. Though the main campaign and gameplay on launch were good, I regret buying it.

I’m the same. I would like a little more me time or something to lower the stress level. If they’d clean up without me itemizing, or stop arguing over literally trivial things, or stop shouting at their friends on the mic. Ugh. I can handle some of that but it’s just too much. I need a babysitter but I stay and they go.

Games with characters you miss most after completion.

It’s a bitter sweet feeling afterward, but I love it when a game has characters where, after the game is over, I miss seeing a part of their lives. Be it due to the characters themselves or the interaction they have with one another, exiting their world feels more like a loss than when normally putting a story away....

Runas the Shamed from World of Warcraft: Legion. In summary, he’s a victim of magical addiction that tries to con you into helping him, then you realize he’s not in his right mind, he’s addiction fueled. He is really trying to be a good person, but he’s screwed by circumstance. By the end, you really feel sorry for him because he isn’t majority responsible for his situation. It does not end well.
