Kaavi,

Quite sure Ukraine started doing this without US. They began doing it while the us was unable to give aid.

So I’m quite sure this is something us didn’t want Ukraine to do, but when there was no aid, Ukraine did what they wanted to do.

I’m just glad they did this, and they should continue 🚀

Kaavi,

Kaavi,

I agree with what you write, but Europe is failing too. Russia isn’t that big of a country, it should be easy for Europe to support Ukraine enough even without USA.

Europe needs to give more and have more military production ourselves, we should think Europe first and keep the production here. More than half is currently imported from USA.

Kaavi,

Living in Denmark, it’s always so odd for me when health insurance is somehow connected to your job… Why?

Health is needed for anyone, both people who work and not. Why it only makes sense for everyone to have access for it, and everyone paying for it over taxes.

Keeping it connected with work is poodle giving the employers more power than they should have - they should not have any power over healthcare.

Basic docker networking?

Hi guys! I’m going at my first docker attempt…and I’m going in Proxmox. I created an LXC container, from which I installed docker, and portainer. Portainer seems happy to work, and shows its admin page on port 9443 correctly. I tried next running the image of immich, following the steps detailed in their own guide....

Kaavi,

I’ve been using proxmox mainly with lxc containers for years. I gave an lxc running docker and portainer, for a few services I have running in docker.

I wouldn’t do it with anything critical it anything that needs mich performance or resources. But honestly most things don’t need that.

So is you like me just need a few docker containers and you already have everything else running - this can be a fine way to do it. Go for it :)

Indsats mod fartalarmer (lemmy.world)

Altså de to ledninger man nogengange ser ligge over vejen.

Det er min opfattelse at det både måler antal biler og hastighed (derfor der er to).

Så kunne i jo få fakta på det.

Kaavi,

Yet this number have been matched fairly good up earlier with both US and UK estimates.

Russia should get the fuck out and stop the killing in Ukraine

Kaavi,

I don’t even want to know how a country in war finds out vests and helmets are of poor quality :(

… Corporate greed

Kaavi,

Happy to pay my taxes, with love from Denmark 🇩🇰

Kaavi,

Just run it in an lxc? I’ve installed it using: tteck.github.io/Proxmox/

Kaavi,

I have arr in lxc also, I just map a folder from the host into the lxc containers. It’s working flawless, plus it’s quite flexible.

I also have a few things running in docker, but if I can get it in lxc I do that.

And it’s so easy doing with the scripts from the page I linked to you:)

Kaavi,

Honestly I’ve been using Google play books for years, just upload pdf or epub and you have it on phone, ipad and computer. Plus it remembers how far you are on between devices.

Readarr for storing on own server, before I upload them.

Kaavi,

Sounds crazy they are but allowed to negotiate?

Is that the same for anything else the government buys? I can’t imagine the army buying 100 tanks and just paying the first price they get?

Kaavi,

I watched birds are not real Ted talk the other day, I think it was awesome to give a perspective on the conspiracy stuff and how people run with it.

If it flies, it spies. 🐣

Kaavi,

I’ve bought mxroute lifetime a year ago, so far it been working really good. I use imap for my mail, my wife gets it forwarded to Gmail - both works fine.

Plus I can use mxroute smtp from my self host server to send mails from the services on it.

Could be worth to look into.

Kaavi,

It worked really well for me, used to have two domains on it, have one now - it made sense to move one of them to an old legacy gmail to have integrated calendar.

Anyway, been happy about mxroute, from what I read they are quite strict about not using it to bulk email, but I’m just using it for my personal mail, so that’s not an issue.

They also provide access to smtp logs in and out, makes it easy to see if an email was sent out received.

The downside is the 10gb space, but if you like me are only a few people then it’s most likely not an issue.

Kaavi,

Real estate isn’t there… But all the money in the world is.

Help, my house is now worthless? 🙈

Kaavi,

Wings for Amiga, flying in WW1 and a cool story between missions. Everything I know about ww1 air battles, I know from that game :)

Kaavi,

Isn’t the frontend stuff open source? So even if they change something, others might make a fork?

Kaavi,

Did they buy an extra door, to make it look similar from the other side? 😂

Kaavi,

I took my truenas some months ago and installed proxmox on that server instead.

I can’t from your post figure out what you need truenas for? Proxmox runs zfs, etc?

I made an lxc container with samba to share the discs in proxmox.

Kaavi,

Proxmox and use lxc containers, easy to do with scripts from here: tteck.github.io/Proxmox/

Kaavi,

No Russians hit really bad and can’t count, so they can’t make such a list:)

Kaavi,

I use unifi access points for wifi, and have an OpnSense router/firewall running on my server (proxmox).

That works really well, only negative ting is that if I reboot my server the internet is down while doing that. But that doesn’t happen very often.

Kaavi,

I’m running the app in an lxc on proxmox for unifi, works perfectly:)

I’m undecided about getting dedicated hardware for OpnSense. It would be nice when rebooting, but I don’t do that often. But then again, it runs fine on the server as a virtual medicine so no need for an extra machine to use power.

For now it will stay virtual. :)
