I don't want to be that guy, because there is some genuinely excellent contemporary music, and absolute stinkers back in the 70's and 80's too, but I can't imagine that there will be two strangers reminiscing about the subtle finger style solos of <insert contemporary artist here> in 40 years time!

Maybe there will be. Music is as much about a time and place nostalgia trip as anything else.

    @dave @aaron_pearce yeah it was pretty underwhelming tbh. It's a habit for me, so I'll continue, but can definitely understand people not being that excited any more

    @dave @aaron_pearce I hear that. I've been 100% coding Android for the last 4 years and it's never felt "home" for me. Really keen to get back into iOS. I can take or leave Apple as a company these days tbh, but still prefer the platform/ecosystem
