Walmart, fuck you hire more cashier’s why am I waiting 10 minutes to checkout at self checkout when you have 50 closed fucking lanes!

I straight up said this the last time I was there to one of the managers watching the self checkout after I heard them complaining about the long ass line. Maybe if you actually turned the other 20 lanes on instead of only having 3 the lines would go by quicker, ya dumbasses.

Whether they have them all open or just 3, they still only have 2 or 3 employees watching over it all. For some reason, they’re all open in the morning when there aren’t any customers, but then in the late afternoon, they turn everything off when the store is flooded with customers. It’s ass backwards.

I’ve had truly instant ramen when my friend’s brother came back from Japan. Dude brought a bunch of cool shit back, including a few cases of self heating ramen and a carton of self lighting cigarettes. Japan is like 500 years in the future.

The animated Hobbit movie from the 70’s is still better than the Peter Jackson trilogy just on the music alone.

But his LOTR trilogy is better than the animated LOTR one. I mean… It at least finished the story.

It’s still shitty even now that you pay for it. The free retro emulation doesn’t offset the connection issues and massive lag, nor does it excuse the god awful store.

Most modern games do not have server software to run your own. And yet they don’t cost extra to play online on PC. Hm. 🤔

It’s too bad every dev runs their own (often piss-poor) servers instead of giving us dedicated server hosting software to run our own. Can’t go back to those days even if we wanted!

My PC was about $800 altogether when I built it back a month before the COVID lockdowns. It uses a 1660 Super which doesn’t support DLSS or ray tracing; every game that’s on both PC and PS5 looks exactly the same. Even with ray tracing on the PS5 and I am literally comparing them side by side on identical displays.

The biggest threat to gaming is Gabe Newell’s eventual death. I really hope he figures out the whole brain connected interface thing so he can upload himself to the internet and become immortal.

They don’t have a monopoly. They don’t even have a natural monopoly like they did when it first launched and was the only digital store front for games.

Instead of trying to make the one good service shitty, how about the shitty services step up their game and stop being shitty?
