Mum to 4 adults. I want leaders who have a vision of how Australia could become a fairer place for all.

I am no longer in the workforce, and spend most of my time watching my cats, watching cardmaking videos and attempting the easier techniques, playing computer games, and I enjoy reading others posts about politics, life, the universe and everything.

More of a lurker than a leader, but have had my moments of outspokenness.

It’s a /little/ bit harder than reverse-parallel parking, but once you learn to complex-park by rotating your car at 90 degrees to reality, you can park pretty much anywhere you like. Just be really careful to remember where. And stay out of the Mandelbrot set!

@Unixbigot You just need to be careful when stepping out of the car. That first step is a doozy.

My son is currently adding drawers to my kallax shelves. Vera decided he needed feline supervision.

Note: this is where the next set of drawers are about to go.

@Susan60 @actuallyautistic I've taken up cardmaking. I give the cards away to family or donate them to charity/op shops.

A variety of techniques to learn, lots of supplies to collect, store & catalog (storage of craft supplies is almost a hobby by itself), the warm glow of knowing that the cards I donate/give away can make both the sender & recipient feel good. The knowledge that I helped make people feel good, while never even meeting them or knowing who they are suits me just fine.

A homemade card. The background is pictures of nebulas & gas clouds in space. The focal image is a child of indeterminate gender holding a bunch of balloons that are shaped to look like planets. The child is floating, lifted up by the balloons. The sentiment is "reach for the stars".
A handmade card, in white and gold. The sentiment is embossed in gold and says "congratulations". Metallic gold cardstock and a white floral arrangement give this card an elegant look. It would be suitable for a wedding or engagement.
A set of a dozen hand-made "thank you" cards in shades of purple.
