I hear what you (and everyone else) is saying, but the developer needs to make money somehow or they’ll have to go get a regular job, and then who will develop?
I think what I’m saying is, how else is the Dev meant to feed his face?
I miss the days when I could just drop a couple of dollars on the paid version, stops the ads and works forever, subscriptions turn me off.
Haha I was the same and didn’t know what to do with myself when I deleted the other app when the blackouts started. Like I would take my phone out, stare at it for a few seconds and put it away again.
Anyway I found other things to do instead of Reddit, and now I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to get Sync again lol. I’ve done so well!
I’ve been using Voyager as a web app on Firefox since I left Reddit in the blackouts and had zero issues with it. I’ve only moved over to Sync today because it’s the app I used for Reddit

I went to drop the kids an hour and a half away in the car at their grandparents house for summer. Got half an hour away in the rain when the windscreen wipers stopped working, AGAIN!
We had to turn around and drive home, and get my 70 year old Dad to drive up for them instead.
So we are now child free for 6 weeks but also can’t drive anywhere if it’s raining.
Thanks we fully intend to, got a couple of gigs, bbqs and parties planned in already. I’m expecting a bonus this week that will buy me a new Aliens game for my PC which should keep me occupied on the rainy days, and I’m learning how to “Speed Cube” speed solving Rubiks cubes and have a couple of fancy ones in the Postal System somewhere.
Just got a new phone (OnePlus Nord 3), turned refresh rate HUD in developer settings and I see some parts of the system and some apps display 120 Hz but I have problem noticing any difference, same with my wife’s Redmi Note 12, i have to look very carefully and maaaybe I notice some different, not sure
I recently started playing GTAV again and sometimes I’ll get in my car and let the radio stations play while I do house stuff. Favorite stations are the 80s one with Kenny Loggins, and West Coast Classics and Rock Radio.
I was also nu metal and dressed the same, BAGGY jeans, wallet chains and skater trainers. We were “Moshers” where I was from.
Then there came a wave of boy bands with the Mosh aesthetic, like the music industry was trying to sell pop to Moshers. Good Charlotte was one of them.
This brought a whole new wave of kids into the fold, but they were drawn in by different music. These were the Emos and, like us Moshers, were generally frowned upon by those in for longer. The Metal Kids called us Moshers “Posers” or “Wanabees” and we treated Emos the same way.
Decades later my Mosh Wife I lovingly refer to as a Nemo for loving My Chemical Romance and say I’m “a bit Gothy” sometimes, it’s all just blended into the alternative subculture.
Most of my close friends are a bit older than me, part of the generation that called me a poser back in the day, and we still poke fun at each others taste in metal but we all headbang to all the tunes, it’s just Banter at this stage.

I did however hear on the BBC News Podcast that Nerds are saying we should change the name of the period we’re in now to be the “Time of Man” and I realised that I have no idea what Epoch we are currently in.
So I thought I’d ask you. Then I’ll memorise your answer and be less dumb.

I’ve been playing Sons Of The Forest when I actually get a chance to do a bit of gaming. It’s great but I think I’m gonna have to start keeping 2 saves like in the old days because I find I save, then sleep and always wake up with Cannibals surrounding my camp.
I’ve also played multiplayer on it which is great fun. The 2 of us trading off areas with decent loot that we know of then building a tree house right on the beach next to a river runoff.
Anyway, if you like playing games where you’re constantly scared this one has it in spades.

I’m not far off my 40s but I make friends wherever I go. I just have some popular hobbies. I like to smoke weed and play guitar. Lots of my kind of people like doing that.
I’ve recently started a new job and have made loads of friends because I’m a guitarist and a pothead.
