So, re-framing this story: the bug was not in iOS 17.5, but in earlier versions of iOS that never realized the database had either be corrupted by a fault in the deletion process or the database was corrupted by something else causing the deletion process to fail to do a proper deletion.

17.5 apparently cleared up the corruption, resurfacing the photos.

Believe me, I’ve seen that happen in database software before.

These new Epinephrine Auto-Injectors come with a “trainer” injector for practice.

Is it wrong that I really want to try the trainer?

(Note: it doesn’t pierce the skin. I asked the pharmacist.)

has apparently started saying, “um hum” again when I make some requests.

I thought they’d killed that.

I feel cheated.

I see all these people posting the amazingly god-awful answers that gives them to questions and I keep asking myself, “how come every time I ask I just get a blank screen?“

@darmato totally off point but… cool, is that’s what’s opening in the old Jack-in-the-Box building on Central?

My experiences with Waymo so far have been most satisfactory.

Far less scary than riding in a car with an unknown, untrusted human.

@simonwood I imagine he must’ve been one of the people who paid the $8000/$10,000 (accounts vary) fee to have the FSD product.

If you spend that much money, goddamnit, you’re gonna use it even if it fucking kills you.

I’d bet you even money he buys another Tesla, too.
