I’m sure it must have been super isolating back then too. I grew up in the 90s and remember that any class would only have like 1 overweight kid. Parents probably didn’t have a lot of empathy for it either, because they would have grown up in the 70s and were barely exposed to that at all.

I didn’t have cable growing up, so I associate Johnny Bravo with vacations. Would watch it every time we were back in the hotel.

For one, he’s basically doing an Elvis impression, which was fairly dated even in the 90s. Lol

Yeah, it’s satirical, and the comedy is seeing him shut down for his behavior.

I was kind of thinking the opposite, because satire goes over a lot of audience’s heads now. He’d be taken out behind the barn like Pepe Le Pew.

I’m still impressed with how perfectly he was cast as McCoy.

There’s a difference between the gameplay and the greedy, manipulative monetization.

The gameplay itself is solid and polished better than just about any multiplayer game out there - anyone who tries to argue otherwise is letting their (justified) anger toward Activision/Blizzard influence their judgement.

The monetization feels gross and disrespectful of the playerbase. It’s like we have this well-made AAA quality game, but it’s inside a vegas casino. Even if you enjoy it, you have to deal with this unsettling feeling of being scammed the whole time that you play.

That’s so many kids growing up without married parents, and not even counting the ones that will divorce during their lifetime.

I’m not religious or anything, but I worry about the stability of these households and what kind of life these kids will have.
