I cancelled my Amazon prime subscription a few years ago and I try not to order from there anymore, but sometimes I still have no other good choices.

The bus is lively today. An ancient mother and her son in a mobility scooter were boarding when she realized the bus was not heading the direction she expected. She informed him of the error, to which he replied that it was not an error, continuing to scooter into the bus.

At that point she realized she had been had. They were not taking the bus south to Taco Bell as she had been promised, but north to El Pollo Loco.

"RICHARD! YOU ALWAYS TAKE ME TO EL POLLO LOCO! WE EAT AT THE SAME PLACE EVERY TIME!," she shouted at him. He merely shrugged in response and she angrily followed him aboard.

The neighbor's fiance pulls up in his 1980 Cadillac Eldorado touring coupe, parking halfway on the lawn. The cracked fascia around the bumper shudders momentarily as the engine comes to a stop.

The driver's-side door swings open heavily, its lower edge skimming the tips of the overgrown grass below. Out of the opening first protrudes an elbow, followed by a forearm, and then finally, a pizza box. The arm cranes over the roof of the silvery car and slaps the pizza down.

From where I sit, I hear the sound of a seat belt unbuckle.

In general, I just think analogies are crap. Way too much effort wasted trying to relate a new concept to an old concept that the learning doesn't really understand either.

Just lean into the new concept and present it coherently.

Letty caught a rodent last night, but it got away from her and escaped into the undercarriage of my car, where it remains this morning. She's still after it.
