But if you’re within 65 75 meters of the map edge after destroying all the bases, then your safe bubble will stop all the spawns.

You can chain these together to stop spawns at an extract that is further than 65m 75m from the edge.

MarauderIIC, (edited )

Yeah, once all the bases are dead, enemies spawn from the direction of the closest map edge, heading towards a player.

Enemies can’t spawn within 65m 75m of a player, which is a “safe zone”. Players that split up can each have a patrol spawn on them.

If the closest map edge is less than 65m 75m away, enemies can’t spawn targeting that player at all.

If it is more than 65m 75m away, then enemies will spawn from the direction of the closest map edge. The way to prevent this is to have one player stand at the end of another player’s safe zone, linking the safe zones together, until someone’s safe zone overlaps the map edge.

If you don’t overlap the zones then someone could wind up with a patrol spawning in the gap between safe zones. I think. I haven’t had to chain zones really. In practice, most often someone just has to stand at extract and then someone else has to move towards the map edge.

This is usually easier to do before calling extract.

MarauderIIC,

I run it on my Steam Deck every now and again

MarauderIIC,

I agree with most of this. Laser is a great get out of jail free card.

I tried the Dominator but I didn’t really like it. I went back to the Scorcher. I can still kill devastators by spamming and also scout striders by shooting them ~4 times in the front armor plating.

Redeemer secondary handles berserkers in a clip.

OP: It’s worth noting that bigger units can have their arms or legs removed and sometimes that is easier than headshots.

Impact grenades also handle scout striders easily, and help with devastators, and you can still do factories by threading the needle into a vent - usually aim at the bottom of the vent opening - or by chucking one into an open door.

AC can do the same by ricocheting shots off of the vent cover into the factory.

That said, I just got stun grenades and am trying them out with precision strike.

MarauderIIC,

Ok, so maybe playstyle advice is more appropriate.

Scorcher (or Dominator), and lean into your autocannon a lot more to make 4 easier. If you don’t have those, anything that 1-shots the little guys is ok. Hang around boulders more for cover. Shoot arms or legs off of things if you can’t shoot heads off of things. Take out factories with your autocannon by shooting the angled vent straight on to angle a shot inside. Take out striders with your autocannon by shooting their leg or crotch joint (the driver will survive; watch them for a flare). Take out devastators with your autocannon by shooting their face or take their gun arm off and move on, but they can still punch you. Take out the small guys with your primary. Prioritize small guys in a patrol.

Scorcher can kill strider drivers with 3-5 shots to the front armor straight on.

AC into bots hanging from drop ships.

Reload your AC before it is empty to get a clip in without cocking it again, same with any other gun.

Redeemer clip into a berserker to kill it. Move while firing redeemer.

Impact grenades can take out factories in the open door or into the vent (aim at the bottom of the vent). They can take out striders in the front armor anywhere. Normal grenades can do the same to factories, but I can’t recommend them for striders.

Eagle Strike factories and groups. Orbital laser when you are in big trouble if you want another safety net. At 4, this should be plenty. Shield or 500k or Precision Strike for your third or EAT for your third. Don’t forget to pick up your AC after firing an EAT. Don’t be afraid to fire EATs at anything giving you trouble.

If you go with EATs, try dropping EATs on cool down when at an objective site. One EAT can take out a dropship thruster.

Railgun on “unsafe” mode eats devastators for breakfast with a 3-second charge to the body, if you’re feeling spicy. It doesn’t do much against heavier units without headshots at that charge though.

Try to throw more than 5 strategems a match.

MarauderIIC,

Also almost every video game community that has official eyes on it

MarauderIIC,

Was user linkage part of their contract? I haven’t seen it. Have you?

If it was, I doubt such a clause is illegal, as you say.

MarauderIIC,

For all we know, Arrowhead paid to rent Sony moderation infrastructure month-to-month six months in advance and didn’t have it as part of their publishing contract and had to cancel the month and ask for a refund.

MarauderIIC,

Trollololol

MarauderIIC,

I heard someone recently say it’s a good anti-medium unit weapon? So like the railgun maybe? I dunno

MarauderIIC,

Mines. I think they’ll be handy if grunts/helldivers can’t trigger them.

Rockets are cooler though.

MarauderIIC,

It hurts so much. I think I’d rather not have a booster.

MarauderIIC,

And you can block patrol spawns right now by standing in the right spots anyway, so why bother speeding it up?

MarauderIIC,

I have a 12-thumb-button MMO mouse. My strategem keys are 8,10,11,12 for up, left, down, right respectively. Works great.

Razer Naga

MarauderIIC,

Wow those patch notes comments are a cesspool

Of note from the patch notes, “Superior Packing Methodology ship module does not work properly.”

MarauderIIC,

Haha, thanks?

Honestly, I was just curious. After that experience, I will not be curious anymore. :)

You put so much effort into your post but my simplistic answer is: we put TV trays next to the players. Like the kind you use while sitting on a couch, not lap trays - the ones that have legs down to the floor.

MarauderIIC,

I have four total at an oval-shaped table, so I dunno. Check out a few things; see what might work for your particular situation. You may even have to try a couple different things.

You could get a foldable card table if you need something larger, for example.

MarauderIIC,

Played on it today. Worked fine! My only complaint was that I had a bit of a hard time seeing enemies.
