I mean, it is a soap opera and the characters are pretty good. It is on Netflix.

I read those 25 years ago. I gotta say, I was a rather underwhelmed but by all means read Book 1 and form your own view.

I would snatch it up on a sale for $5! I just finished the Martian and loved it.

I have to look up a bunch of these ones. Gaiman is excellent and the Ocean book is good but not his best. Mistborn is simply outstanding though and I devoured them. Hail Mary I know about and want it on sale. I don’t recognize the rest.

I just finished that one as well. I thought it was good but not good enough to commit to reading the second White Knight book. I thought Batman Hush Batman Universe, and Batman RIP were much better.

The local used book store just closed. I will have to travel out a bit further.

The 35-year retrospective is excellent but not portable for the commute.

Maybe a road trip is needed or some careful hunting on eBay.

Book recommendations that play with what it means to be a book

I really love sci-fi novels and I read a lot of books. I read 2312 by Kim Stanley Robinson a while back and that book is particularly interesting to me. Rather than each chapter advancing the narrative of the story, there were occasional breaks where a chapter would have a list of semi-random words which just gave the vibe of...

Any way to group communities across difference instances together ?

Lets say I want to ask Lemmitors a question. There might an AskLemmy community at my home server so I can ask there. But there might be a much larger AskLemmy community on a server elsewhere. Is there a way to ensure that people who subscribe to AskLemmy on the other server could also see my post on AskLemmy on my home server ?

Those can be awesome paired with a charcoal smoker to add the smoke flavor and then the pellet finishes off a long cook with zero effort.

I will never be without a kamado. I love my Akorn for easy of use and temp control. It would be nice to upgrade to a Primo someday.
