We only know about when humans mastered fire or started using metal. But we know the exact date when the first powered flight took place. What are some really early “first ____” we know the date of for sure?
My first thought was the code of Hammurabi, as the first ever set of laws. But it turns out we know of several sets of laws from before then.
Then I was thinking maybe the Pope, given that it should be well chronicled. But it turns out Peter was the first Pope (who knew?), so we’re relying on Biblical timings which aren’t exact.
So now I’m going to say “something Chinese”. China’s recorded history goes back a lot further than Europe’s, but I don’t really know much about it to say anything more useful than that. But did you know that writing predates the iron age in China, unlike most places? (Usually, the invention of writing changes it from the iron age “prehistory” into the written “history”)
In case anyone actually wants to know a couple of reasons
A) It’s not fair that some people pay and some don’t. (Of course it’s also not fair that some can afford $70 on a video game and some struggle to buy food)
B) If everyone would pay then we’d all only have to pay $50 each, lowering the price for those that are paying $70 at the moment. (Whether developers would lower prices or just make more money is another question)
I’m confused. In what way to universal toilets (toilet and sink in one self-contained room) not allow for the biological needs of women? Why are girls in schools getting UTIs because they’re so scared of peeing in universal toilets? Why don’t these work for trans people and NBs?
Is this anything other than just conservatives being transphobic and wanting to keep traditional toilets alive? I feel like I must be missing something here
As an aside...My dad’s church has just been refurbished with this style of toilet and he is very against them, but he’s also against trans people so…
I think it’s a tobacco trial. The main character is the wife of one of the jurors? I think the bad guy / big company is trying to buy the jurors out by using the services of the wife
What was the deal with this? I was a bit distracted at the time.
I thought that Norris was in the lead to start with, after everyone had pitted earlier in the race. Then I looked up and Norris was first still, safety car in a slightly weird place, but everything seemed to be sorted fairly by the end.
I just didn’t see how the safety car got to be in second place, that’s what I’d like explained to me please
All school-girls are attracted to gross old men, therefore it’s consensual and perfectly ok. And even if it isn’t, they’re only kids; what do they know? They’ll learn to love their husbands in time. And if they don’t, who cares? They’re only women
Why do men call their father their "old man", but their "old lady" is their wife?
