Letztens schrieb mir eine Erzieherin eine E-Mail, weil sie IT-Support benötigte.

Sie hat sich ein gebrauchtes Smartphone gekauft in einem Laden im Ort und ist damit nicht zufrieden.

Ich sollte ihr Tipps geben, wie sie das am besten zurückgeben kann.

Irgendwann schreib ich echt ein Buch über diese Zeit...

Ich durfte mal ne Schule mit WLAN ausrüsten. Alles konzipiert, alles mal gemessen, passte alles. Und dann kam der Beamte für Facility Angelegenheiten und sagte in etwa:"WLAN. Ah, ah. Und was ist, wenn einer einen Herzschrittmacher hat?"

    Ich hatte vor nicht allzulanger Zeit eine Tabelle mit 8m+ Zeilen und 74GB Daten drin, in einem richtig beschissenen Format.

    Aufgabe: Drüberiterieren und zusammenschrumpfen. Daten immer in 1000er Chunks geholt.

    Erster Test mit LIMIT... 24h+

    Zweiter Test ohne LIMIT und trotzdem 1000er Chunks... 20 Minuten 😖

    Imho the main problem is that Pytgon is a multipurpose language while PHP is for web only.
    When we'll get a fast interpreter or maybe a precompiler for PHP to use the language on Desktop, mobile, IOT or general as standalone apps, THAT would be the game changer in my eyes 🙂

    Dear conspiracy theorists, to save you some work. I am active in FOSS since 1993, I helped organise the protests against Software Patents in Europe 2002-2004, I work at Red Hat since 2005.

    I have been publicly accused in all those years of:

    • Being a Chinese spy
    • Being paid by the CIA
    • Being paid by Putin

    And more things. I will not waste my time and energy to discuss these "arguments" that are used to try to silence or intimidate me. I am simply too old and experienced for that.

    @2ndStar "Hoch oben" funktioniert hier nicht. Ich hab hier Einflugschneise von einem größeren Flughafen. Ich glaub' nicht, dass so ein Touristenbomber es gut finden würde, wenn er kurz ein Manöver fliegen muss, weil ich grad ein Foto vom Garten für die nächste Parrty machen will.

    Obwohl... Ich würde dann sicherlich auch im Hamburger Abendblatt und viiielen weiteren Zeitungen stehen 😂
