If I collected a few on a pre season 1 character and the rest on a newer season one character. Do I permanently get all the altars unlocked once season one ends and both characters are in the eternal realm?...
I finally got done yesterday. The best part is when there are like 6 people standing in a swamp, and finally someone climbs into a bush and you hear the telltale sound, followed by a mad rush and a muttered you are appreciated.
This got me too, in games I always spend a lot of unfocused time exploring and doing side quests. Had no idea the game state freezes at 50. When I figured it out I had to focus myself and finish the story to open up the game.

If you make a new character to be a part of the season, yes all side quest will be reset as you are playing a different character. Only campaign completion, alters and map explore will carry over to a new character.
Nothing happens to your current character though, nothing is deleted and nothing is reset. You can continue on that character forever, you just will not be a part of the season.

Yes, a sequel is in the works. The originals are amazing though and I highly recommend them, especially if you throw some mods at it. There are several recent YouTube reviews of it, check one out and see if it looks worth the time to learn!

There is honestly just nothing else like it on the market. DayZ spawned 100s of clone games but nothing else even comes close. There is an endless amount of jank and annoying bugs but the experience of a good DayZ server just can’t be matched.
