So that's me received the confirmation that my stuff is removed from Bigstack.

Which is good. It shows the Optout requests are being done.

Go to check again for librecasts old github account. Looks like I missed some.

While I did think it is important for Software Heritage to archive code, I wish it was done Opt-in.

It would be nice to be asked and for that code to be curated. This is not curation. This is automation.

I am preparing for my trip to in where I will speak about "How to Improve the Python Development Experience for Millions of Ubuntu Users". I would love to start a discussion on how make the best development environment it can be!

Have you experienced papercuts or do you have ideas to improve the experience?

For developing on first attempt it is useful to be able to use very recent packages where we have access to by using conda. This is usually a major difference for Ubuntu where we have after their major Release an outdated python evosystem.

I think a talk should not miss to link to pixi. It improves many things, no base env needed, lock-state, reproduceable installation.

With developers I always extend to users, because we also use our Software.

I think when we can't see a base environment it needs less explaination. Since we should only use it for keep packages and the installers it crys for to get hidden somehow.

I destroy it sometimes when I play with conda build and forget to create an env for installing by --use-local.

A broken base means more or less to recreate all your local environments.

This is not uptodate because we now have mamba, libmambaSolver and Miniforge, ...

But the principal about base and envs are still the same

I try before 6pm to fetch my badge. We maybe can meet at the location.
