Unless you’re a sysadmin who deals with very obscure systems, you’ll always have access to nano, so why bother?
Vim elitists love to brag about how cool Vim is, but pretty much never properly elaborate. Why should I learn all those obscure commands to just edit some text? What’s the point?
Why would someone edit the actual code (not configs) from the terminal? That by itself sounds like a masochistic endeavor. But I might be missing something.

You may easily write off bigotry on religion, but it’s literally them doing some crazy shit and covering with religion that clearly says not to do this.
That’s same as many American Christians literally ignoring the Bible, but this time way more consequential. Bigots will stick to religion as an instrument of power and hope nobody actually reads the sacred books, because they never said all those things. Should there be no religion, they’d use something else.
That is not to say religions are flawless. But bigotry just uses religion as a cover, it doesn’t come from it.

Technically, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are just three updates of the same religion. First came Torah, then it got transformed into the Old Testament and completed with the New one to get the Bible, and then Bible itself got completed to get Quran.
With that came one abrahamic God - referred to as Yahweh in Judaism, Trinity in Christianity (note: Islam goes back and denies Trinity and godly nature of Jesus, calling him a prophet, not element of God, and rolling back on Holy Spirit, too, reinstating Father God as the only source of godly power), and Allah in Islam.
Thereby cancelling Allah means also cancelling Trinity and Yahweh, as they’re actually one and the same.
Debian uses its own version of the Linux kernel with proprietary parts removed; however, if you want to install it on a machine that does have hardware for which there are no free drivers (which is to say almost any machine out there in the market), you’ll have to install proprietary parts; in the last version, Debian 12, system does that by default.

Well, it’s obviously dictated by hardware and the software that manufacturers release for it. I’m not calling enthusiasts to reverse engineer every single driver, that’s impossible.
The point is, there is a lot of proprietary blobs in everyone’s systems, and it’s not cool. If you ask me, we should obviously shift policies to force manufacturers to open source drivers and management systems.

They had a left-wing front consisting of socialists and communists that came to power without any violence through a purely democratic process, was fairly popular with electorate, and then got forcefully overthrown by CIA-backed military junta in 1973 (cause surprise-surprise: a socialist/communist state in South America was not in US’s interests, and it was a cold war era).
There is nothing inherent about transitional government or even violent overthrow of a current system, communism in its purest form is only about creating the economy that distributes wealth according to people’s needs. It doesn’t automatically describe the means to get there, and what was conducted in 20th century was an attempt to implement one of the ways mapped by 19th-20th century thinkers.
Some communists will say the general direction was right, but the implementation wrong; some others will say the approach itself was wrong and we need to start building communist society in an entirely different way. Both will be communists.
