This is a screenshot of my weather app showing forecasted (smooth blue/purple) rain of the French Arome model VS rain radar (sharp green/yellow contours). It actually does a pretty good job on the large scale but the details aren’t always quite right. Dies anyone know how rain probabilities are computed from these models...

This whole paragraph is giving me deja vu. I know I’ve read it before. Update: I remember! It was a dream I had last year about an “angle-dragon” that lived in the angles of reality. I had just finished reading China Mieville’s The Scar which contains a character that moves through the angles of reality. Weird!
