5 home appliances that will change your life and allow you to cook tons of gourmet food extremely easily and at a low cost.

I own a Vitamix, a Zojirushi rice cooker, and a Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme. I also own the instant pot max, and an air fryer by Sur la table. Between these appliances they help me make 90% of my food at home. The food is relatively easy, especially once you get the hang of the recipes, and they taste incredible!...

Pirated ebooks, most people use it to avoid buying insanely expensive college textbooks.

Has anyone read Woom by Duncan Ralston? My friend said it was extreme horror. I was going to read it this month.

Well, I read it. It was a weird sexual story with a good twist. A solid 3 out of 5 stars. It pales in comparison to the Marquis de Sade’s 120 Days of Sodom which was a truly horrific and depravied story.

A Mistborn show would be freaking awesome!

At one time I was going through two 32oz cups of coffee a day and was a jittery mess. I now drink a respectable 20oz a day.

Should I do some more book spotlight threads (not just for banned books)

I can do a 13 days of horror books highlighting some horror books in !fiction if there’s any interest in that. It seems that making highlight posts made a lot of people engaged and started a lot of conversations. Thoughts? I’m willing to do like daily to weekly themed book highlights. I can even do nonfiction book highlights...

I went through a “worlds best books” list a few years ago and loved it. I read many books I normally wouldn’t have. You could focus on specific countries.

My coffee breath off-sets my garlic breath so I’m good.

Nerds trying to out-science each other. This is what I loved about Reddit. Thank you Lemmy, I feel at home.

It’s nice to see Greg Abbott inspiring someone. Maybe it’s to keep out the “immigrant” fish.

Just finished Deeplight by Frances Hardinge for my Reddit Book Bingo. Even though it is YA it was very good.

How to make an MP3 player work in 2023?

If I wanted an MP3 player again, in 2023, and wanted to rip cds to it and put digitally purchased albums on it, as actual owned files (not inside an proprietary ecosystem where I pay to only listen to that track within that service) could I still do that? What would I need? I don’t own, and can’t afford, a “real...

My Sansa Clip mp3 player is still plodding along. I use it daily. Plug it into my computer, drag and drop my music and enjoy ad free music in my worktruck. I can’t stand to listen the crappy radio anymore.

Back in the day I used to print cool bookmarks and leave them in library books. Kids love to open a Harry Potter book and find a Potter bookmark.
