@syria @Helgi Many more than 100,000 Lebanese disappeared (pre-2007) and at least 150,000 Syrians (and others) disappeared in Syria since 2011. That’s a LOT of disappeared. What Syria et al -all but Qatar & Kuwait who voted yes - really oppose is external actors in the inquiry process which will doubtless provide evidence for war crimes trials in the Hague.

@Helgi @syria I’m afraid that I see Free Syria (the revolution against Assad & his cronies) quite differently. Had I not lived in Syria, I might believe the fantasy perpetrated by Assad, that it’s all foreign actors + ISIS and not a popular revolution; and had I not run a little news service on Syria … but no - having seen Assad’s direct military and political aggression on his own ppl in action, no way could I ever accept the fallacy perpetrated by SYRGOV.

The subject of a huge inter-Muslim conflict & inquisition - Cherry picking without context leads nowhere
