I like going to musicals but haven’t been for some time because the current offerings are so boring. It’s just the same shows being recycled. I feel like theatre has followed the same trend as pop movies, just reboots and reruns because they are safe. Original creativity is seen as too high risk. It’s a bit sad when the art has left the arts.
I bought some and can confirm they are super warm and with a good sturdy grip. Will use them for outdoor winter stuff. And at $35 I don’t care if they get muddy and trashed. I reckon they would be too warm and chunky for an office.
I guess it depends how cold your feet get. They aren’t steel caps so if you need to meet safety requirements they wouldn’t pass. Open a box in store and try them on in the shop, heaps of people were doing it.
My current count is a grated tasty, feta, block of vintage cheddar, goats cheese, Parmesan wedge, cream cheese, Jarlsberg. So that’s 7. Basically the bare minimum.
I believe in peace not war, but I’m rational enough to know the world just doesn’t work like that and there’s a minimum military that each country needs to maintain. In Australia if we want more people to join the way to do it is to make it a better environment. Examples of military culture like whistleblowers going to jail, Ben Roberts-Smith saga, hazing, attitudes to women etc; it’s not an attractive proposition to most normal people when thinking about careers.
It could be reasonable that they are sometimes on calls, eg interviews reference checks, client calls etc, but I reckon not returning your call twice is probably a sign. The right thing will come along.
Soaking and throwing away the soak water can help draw out some of the farty compounds. However an increase in gas from legumes is normal to a degree, it’s your microbiome digesting all the good stuff, and the gut will adjust if you eat legumes regularly. Also, if using canned, throw away the water and give a very good rinse. Same principle, the water contains lots of the fatty stuff.
I think EVs mostly are bought by people who are in 2 car family who also own a petrol car, or those who only ever drive in the city. Most people want to do longer trips for weekends, holidays, visiting family etc. So if it’s your only car, it’s unlikely to be an EV. Other barriers are that they are more expensive for the same size vehicle, nowhere to charge if you live in an apartment, higher insurance costs. It’s gonna be a while until EVs outnumber combustion engines.
Actually I have a 10year old Antler myself, and it’s held up incredibly well but getting a bit worse for wear. Was trying to decide if I replace with another soft case or change to a hard case.
I’m basic and lazy. For meals I like to put effort in, but snacks need to be instant. Fruit, slice of cheese, nuts, crackers, biscuits. If I’m feeling particularly energetic I might have a carrot with some dip. But I don’t faff around with making carrot sticks, just slice on the diagonal and dip in. I actually think it’s better slicing like this because more surface area to scoop the dip.
I binged Fallout in 2 nights. I’ve never played the game so I have no comments on its authenticity, but it was a fun escapist watch. Built up the mystery in each episode to keep me clicking Next Episode.
And in breaking news, family in crisis after finding one shred of purple cabbage in their white cabbage coleslaw mix from Colesworth. The traumatised mum said one of her toddlers almost ate it but luckily she noticed in time. ‘This will haunt me for years, how is it not even safe to buy coleslaw in 2024.’
If you or anyone you know has been affected by this story, please contact SaladLine. We now cross live to the truck driver who describes his shock that he may have unknowingly delivered the noncompliant coleslaw the day before. Warning, some viewers may find this footage distressing.
History fades fast. But also I wonder what is being taught in school history. I know the world’s a big place and they can’t teach everything, but… not joking someone mid-30s recently asked me which countries were fighting in the Middle East. They meant the Gaza conflict. I explained it’s technically the same country, and that coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians has never really been settled since Israel was founded. She said something like ‘so forever then’, and I had to explain Israel had only existed since world war 2.
Anything’s possible I guess. But I saw some footage on tv and it’s pea soup fog density in the area. Plausible they just got too close to the ground. But also you’d think that pilots in that region should be experienced flying in foggy mountainous area. From what I understand of the politics his death likely won’t cause any significant changes. But could be revenge or a warning shot. Could be genuine accident. We’ll never know.
