StarkestMadness,

Obligatiory recommendedation: Jason co-hosts a gaming news podcast called Triple Click, alongside Maddy Myers, Deputy Games Editor at Polygon, and Kirk Hamilton, formerly of Kotaku and now host of Strong Songs. They’re excellent at their work.

StarkestMadness,

I’m romancing Shadow (and also Gale, apparently), and when Lae’zel found out she basically said, “your loss, istik. I’mma go bang Wyll.”

Respect.

StarkestMadness,

picks up blaster and shoots possibly undead stormtrooper

Ezra is a practical soul at heart, no matter what he says.

StarkestMadness,

note to self 📖🖋️ Watch out for Laura.

Cyberpunk 2077's Ukrainian localisation takes the piss out of Russia's war (www.rockpapershotgun.com)

Reworked skill trees and new minigames aside, Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update includes a Ukrainian localisation of the game's million-plus-word script. It turns out the Ukrainian version is awash with references to Russia's on-going invasion of Ukraine, all of it seemingly in support of the latter. The news comes via Zone of Games,...

StarkestMadness,

To assume something isn’t true based solely on the fact that you’ve never experienced it demonstrates a profound lack of empathy and critical thought. So does taking the time to complain about trans people in a meme instead of having an actual conversation with another human being.

If you take the time to do the latter instead, you might develop a shred of empathy, but you’re afraid to, because that might mean you have to admit that you’re wrong.

StarkestMadness,

This article has a pretty negative slant, but is anyone actually sad they’re going? I’ve been playing on and off since 2014, and I never have enough shards. My friends that have played almost nonstop since launch constantly have more than they could ever spend, even if they masterworked every piece of gear in their collection. Seems like a good change, honestly.

StarkestMadness,

I know this is obvious, but Cash’s beliefs are endlessly fascinating. The same man who recorded “Ragged Old Flag” also wrote “Man in Black” and covered “Out Among the Stars.” The latter is a song about a kid who commits suicide by cop because he doesn’t feel like his life matters.

StarkestMadness,

I don’t know what memes I expected to see today, but I certainly wasn’t expecting a Warriors one. Well played.

StarkestMadness,

Sounds like the way Civ players wage war. “Oh, you sacked a city state I’m allied with? Well I just nuked your entire empire!”

StarkestMadness,

Whaaa?? That’s the coolest thing I’ve heard all day!

To create a small Mars colony, leave the jerks on Earth (www.popsci.com)

When it comes to building a sustainable settlement on Mars, the technological and engineering challenges are steep. But they take a back seat to the Human Resources department. Forget sophisticated vehicles or sensitive instrumentation—the most temperamental, fragile things we send to the Red Planet will be humans....

StarkestMadness,

Tl;dr: “I’m making broad, sweeping generalizations that condemn everyone who thinks differently than I do, while at the same time accusing everyone I disagree with of making broad, sweeping generalizations about me. People with different lifestyles than my own scare me, and instead of trying to learn or develop empathy, I’m going to complain that the rest of the world doesn’t loath trans and poor people as much as I do and daydream about a society where they don’t exist.”

The greatest trick the far right ever pulled was convincing the country that “activist” is a bad word.

StarkestMadness,

Looks like these versions will actually have discs, unlike last time. Lol.

Delaware House approves bill allowing business entities to vote in town’s municipal elections (apnews.com)

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Lawmakers in the Delaware House of Representatives have approved legislation authorizing a small town in the southern part of the state to allow business entities, including corporations and limited liability companies, to vote in municipal elections....

StarkestMadness,

Hooray! Another victory for corporate dystopia.

StarkestMadness,

Sorry to get weirdly serious on a shitpost, but I don’t know if a concept does cease to exist just because you’re currently not thinking about it.

That’s partly the theme of the novel The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which argues–in quite a lovely way–that ideas have a life of their own. No one remembers Addie, and yet she still leaves marks on the world.

Anyway, have an upvote cause Ralph made me laugh, then overthink.

StarkestMadness,

Asking price is way too low. Cornobi is worth twice that, smh.

StarkestMadness,

I always wonder what a hacker hopes to gain from me. The $4.00 in my bank account?

StarkestMadness,

(I have a liberal arts degree. Two, in fact. And I had a job before I finished undergrad.)

I realize I’m a bit of an outlier, but don’t let people tell you it’s not possible.

StarkestMadness,

Honestly, this is pretty in-character for both of them.
