kbin.social seems to have gone too pro-fasicts, pro-Ukraine, pro-LGBT. I do not like hypocrites. It turns out to be just like reddit.

I used makemkv.com - MKV is supported by most TVs/players. The license is free on their forum.

You should still tell here that even if DVD is in a perfect condition, it will eventually die. I had Logitech M705 for 12 years, I changed the battery roughly every 2 years. I only replaced the mouse, because the rubber fell off.

I always avoided wireless, but it is not as unreliable as before, unless there an interference like from Wi-Fi or other wireless devices.

I have Logitech M330 Silent Plus now, but sometimes it gets clumsy, because of an interference, I have to shake it down a bit.

  • I prefer to hide in the plain sight. I use Google, MSA, Bing, Edge, Onedrive, Outlook.
  • Trying to hide too much is like using DoNoTrack, it only draws the needless attention.
  • I use Outlook for official business, gmail for eshops, they know my real name and location.
  • But I separate browsers, Edge for casual, Brave for Google/YouTube, LibreWolf for FB, TOR for other.
  • I use NextDNS blocking GAFAM, I avoid browser extensions (easily identified). Firewall blocks ports 53/80.

This is the worst version thus far, I stopped playing for 2 weeks, twice. The story is boring as hell and I even had to turn off the music and listen to Genshin Impact music on youtube to be willing to play at all. I hate clowns and parades and listening to it was literally a nightmare.

This game used to be fun to play, it feels like a work now, not something to enjoy after a long day at work. Pacman is better.

Again, I had to stop playing after 5 mins, some stupid canon mini game, and now I can not even continue, ffs.

In the end you still need to be infected by malware to be exploited, I have disabled even Meltdown/Spectre mitigations to regain performance.

For starters, it prevents some censorship and filtering, because it is usually done on DNS level, like in UK.

ISP can to see, to what domains you have connected, but most webpages use CDN servers like cloudflare, so while he could presume that you have connected to piratebay, there is no guarantee. It could be just an AD on some webpage or a linked picture, because each time you connect to any webpage, your browser makes connection to 30-50 other webpages, so it is not as straightforward as DNS, so an encrypted DNS helps.

To put it simply, if you use ISP DNS, ISP can see that you visited xxx shop in a mall. If you use some DOH, ISP can see, that you visited a mall.

For security. It uses a separate port, so it can not be easily abused by malware/hijacked, you will simply allow a single IP, unlike with DoH, where you have allowed all the traffic.
