It was utter stupidity. The only nation in the history of the world to impose economic sanctions on its self. The nation was lied to so a select few very rich people could make their lives easier.
Do you know what the most googled term was after the referendum? “What is the EU?”
I forget his name right now, but I followed one of the writers of Bill & Ted on Twitter, he also wrote Men in Black. This was a couple of years ago but he showed a letter from Sony informing him that they still can’t pay any residual cheques because according to their accounting, Men in Black was still in the red.
We have a problem over at feddit.uk, the sole admin has gone missing and no one has been able to contact him. All we wanted is for a few more people to be made admins then problems could be solved. A new server/instance is going to be created and hopefully everyone on feddit can move over. Unless the admin comes back, it will fall behind in updates and become defederated. This happened once a few weeks ago by lemmy.world but we managed to convince them it was in error and they federated us back in.
Dredd had a really poor advertising campaign. I think the first trailer only came out a few weeks before it’s release when for other films it’s months in advance.
I think the first footage I saw was actually a VFX breakdown that somehow made it’s way into YouTube but it didn’t stay there long.
There was a big campaign to get a sequel and Dredd on Blu-ray rose to #1 in the Amazon sales charts.
One of the executive producers, Adi Shankar, explained in a YouTube video that he appreciated the effort but the big problem was the box office returns. Everyone who invested made a loss, so no one wanted to invest in a sequel.
Rebellion were going to make a Mega City One series which may have had appearances from Dredd occasionally but I think that project has stalled.
The complete twat who knew leaving the EU would be bad for the UK. Then Boris made him the Brexit negotiator on the leave deal, which he did. Then Frost complained that the leave deal was bad, which he fucking negotiated. To top it off, Boris then makes him a peer. Ever heard of failing upwards?
The problem is the country is in such a fucking mess, it will take Labour years to try and sort it out. The fact Starmer won’t even think about joining the single market is stupid too. Probably appeasing the Brexit Labour voters.
Reminds me of Fraggle Rock. Due to the television station that produced the show being taken over many times over the years, most of the original broadcast masters have been lost. I think all episodes have been found but they’re mostly at home VHS recordings.
Check out the examples in the 4K section of the Blu-ray forums. True Lies is the worst, followed by Aliens and The Abyss comes off the best.
The image has been upscaled and with the use of AI, the image has been scrubbed of all the grain.
Unfortunately, the image now looks pretty bad in places with smooth waxy faces and strange anomalies as AI tries to improve the picture.
I would’ve thought they would scan the original camera negatives, or next best thing, and then apply a little DNR to remove a little of the grain but apparently, this is what Cameron wanted.
I’ve never understood the concept of pre ordering digital content, it’s not going to run out of stock. And why pay extra for a few graphical items that don’t change the way the game plays?
Also, surely digital games would be cheaper because there’s no physical product to send to the customer? But there you go. Base copy of Diablo 4 is £70!! Wow!
I just checked Wiki and surprisingly there is 15-20 minutes of CGI in Tron. Basically anything that contains a vehicle (light bikes, tanks, recognizers etc) or anything that contains a patterned computer background.
If I remember correctly, Tron was refused any kind of animation Oscar because they used computers and that was considered cheating.
What chartered flights? Even the Rwanda airline wants nothing to do with this.
Where are all the extra judges suddenly come from? Are you pulling then off other cases like rape and murder?
No interference from Foreign courts. They’re not foreign, it’s the European court of which we, the UK, are a member.
Labour keeps voting against the bill! Yes, they do but you have the majority in the house of commons and the Lords. It’s the Tory lords voting against this bill because they have the sense to realise how batshit this legislation is.
