ULTIMATEDEAD,

Russian propagandists claim, there is no democracy and no freedom of press in the west. It seems like, they were right in that regard.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Might is right.

Low dopamine computing

Why isn’t this a thing? Just turning your monitor into grayscale mode, changes the entire experience. Have you ever played a video game in grayscale? After such a long time of being used to overstimulation, it feels like being on antipsychotics. The constant exposure to multimedia, videogames and the mere display of colors...

ULTIMATEDEAD,

No, I say that colors itself have a dopaminergic effect. There are thousand of articles about it, they write about it in the context of digital detox, to use gray scale mode on smartphones.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

I tried, but I noticed that everything had become paywalled wsj.com/…/the-case-for-grayscale-smartphones-scre…

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Just google “grayscale dopamin detox” and you will find articles. It is well known

ULTIMATEDEAD,

You are exactly proving my point! You are already practicing low dopamine computing!

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Thank you!!!

ULTIMATEDEAD,

This is a great idea! I’m very interested in your project. Please share it once it is finished!

ULTIMATEDEAD,

but is it at a scale that actually matters?

Probably not, but it is one of many elements which add up. This is why I believe, low dopamine computing is a system which combines many elements.

Revealed: WHO aspartame safety panel linked to alleged Coca-Cola front group (www.theguardian.com)

It uncovered eight WHO panelists involved with assessing safe levels of aspartame consumption who are beverage industry consultants who currently or previously worked with the alleged Coke front group, International Life Sciences Institute (Ilsi)....

ULTIMATEDEAD,

The WHO is rotten to the core. They are in bed with WEF corpos.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Lemmy is definitively less addicting than Reddit, but it is still addicting, because it uses the up-/downvote mechanism.

I'm worried that in the future we will be forced to use smartphones just like in China

In China, you can’t exist without a smartphone, because for all existential things you have to do (paying bills, buying tickets etc.) , you are forced to use the almighty wechat app. Smartphones are a tool to manipulate and to spy on the population. It is a tool utilized by the ruling class, to control the masses. I hate the...

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Yes and no. I can still pay with cash and live a normal live without owning a smartphone. I can still buy paper train tickets etc.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

unregulated big tech, bad.

Who should regulate big tech in the interest of the people? The corporatist state???

ULTIMATEDEAD,

People who care about privacy and mental self-determination don’t own smartphones.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Sorry, but the scientific truth about smartphones and AI manipulation is free to read for everybody. Stop denying reality.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

More science deniers who love to be slaves. Doesn’t make sense to talk with you.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

OK corpocuck.

Thoughts on Yanis' view on crypto technology? Do you agree or disagree? (m.youtube.com)

Should we say farewell to the dollar, the euro and all national currencies? Is crypto the future of money? Join our fierce battle between former Greek finance minister and maverick anti-bitcoin economist Yanis Varoufakis and blockchain developer Viktor Tábori, and find out yourself.

Will Corpos try to force all computing on the to cloud and make privately owned local storage illegal?

Seems like the next logical step. Most big games are always-online Games as a Service where your local storage is useless if the company server doesn’t handshake. A lot of business and productivity software already requires subscriptions and is partially online. Every single fucking company wants to have an app on your phone...

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Good analysis! It fits perfectly into this emerging techno-feudalist “you will own nothing” trend.

ULTIMATEDEAD,

Even if you think this particular article is bad, there are still more scientific studies which point into the same direction. The danger is real and scientific research is showing clear evidence.
