I had a nice Hologram joker (0.25x mult per card added to deck) build on yellow deck that got me my first gold stake win. I stacked Hologram up with DNA and Certificate, but I wasn’t able to find Marble Joker until ante 9. I played high card and used Green Joker and Card Sharp to help get things moving in the early/mid game. It was a fun run.

I had a crazy high card run this week with 2 Oops All Sixes and Space Joker. Space Joker hit every single hand, making it easy to beat my first purple run.

My build was 4 of a kind. Why? You get +3 mult with each mars planet card used and +30 chips. Any lower hand (full house, flush, straight and so on) only gives +2 mult, so you need a lot more of the planet cards in order to achieve a score of 100 000 (and beat the boss blind of ante 8)....

This is a cool strategy, I need to try this. I would think Abandoned deck would be best for this in order to cut out 12 cards to sift through.

I think I had pair upgraded really high from burnt joker, so just that. I had a small sliver of hope to beat this round, but I wasn’t even close. lol

Yep, that’s exactly what happened. On this last hand, Swashbuckler was at +106 mult. The buff it received in the beta made it so much more viable.

“A meningitis outbreak has killed 20 students in northern Nigeria, local media reported Wednesday (Feb. 28).

The death toll which remains provisional was announced by the Yobe state Education commissioner.

The outbreak has been recorded in some secondary schools in the state.

Over a hundred cases have allegedly been reported with three patients said to still be in an intensive care unit responding to treatment.

Meningitis is an infection which causes an acute inflammation of the outer layers of the brain and spinal cord. It can be life-threatening unless diagnosed and treated early.

Transmission is through direct person-to-person contact, including droplets from the nose and throat of infected people.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention shared Wednesday (Feb. 28) on its X account (formerly twitter) a meningitis vigilance map.

Indeed, weather conditions can favour prevalence of meningitis.

Most of cases in the country are reported across states in the northern region.

According to the WHO, the west African nation reported 124 deaths from meningitis between 1 October 2022 and 16 April 2023.”

It doesn’t even say which version it is, viral or bacterial.

Seeing Tron: Legacy in 3D in theaters is one of my favorite theater memories. Regardless of how the story turns out, I’ll probably see this for the visuals alone.

It’s because it’s safer from an investor perspective. A reboot of a successful movie and continuations in established series have more predictable revenue than an original story, which is why originals have become more rare. It all comes down to money.
