I kinda want to ⭐ some of the map changesets people make, to let them know that adding an obscure public artwork or a big pile of addresses, or fixing a bus route is actually appreciated. If you're reading this and do that sort of thing, then thank you!

Did you know? OSMers use a variety of software (“editors”) to edit the OSM data. Several of them have Mastodon/Fediverse accounts!

OK, that's nerdy and good! @BUnicycling has trawled OSM data for places named for historic "pound"s or "pinfold"s - fundamentally the same thing[1] - to help decide which tag should be used. The plots are nice! (via Weekly OSM)

Places named "pound" (highways and junctions). They cluster to the South of England, South of Birmingham and out to East Anglia

Anyone know what the legal status of bus route colours is, in terms of their exact hex code? https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:colour

Our local #Oxford UK bus company has some official route colours, it seems: https://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/services/park-ride. I'm sort of assuming we can't just pick those colours off their website and paste the hex code into colour=* on the main route relation, since it's part of somebody's branding and stuff.
