We turned on SharePlay in the new version of Television, on the App Store now. That means watch TV with friends in AVP, like I'm doing here with my good friend Beamer, enjoying one of my favorite moments of recorded media.

We have lots of features to build as get Television closer to its ideal, but highest priority is to add this 1993 Macintosh TV. It was the height of frivolous multimedia envy for the time.

Dear Vision Pro owning and programming friends, I have a question about Sandwich's new app.

The promo video shows them placing a television on a surface. Apparently with surface snapping. I thought that's only available in full-immersion spaces. Apps in that mode don't allow multitasking though. But then they show windows of different apps.

How? Did I miss something?

@cdevroe @marcel Great detail spotting! You're right that plane detection and snapping only works in Full Space or what we call Focus mode. For the purposes of the video, I was still able to set the flatscreen down on that bench to simulate plane awareness, even if snapping wouldn't get it there. In practice, plane snapping is more disruptive in this experience than you'd think. When we started building, I thought it would be top feature. In practice, so annoying we buried it in Settings!
