@btp I mean. Yes. But in order for them to disclose this data, that means they must first collect it, which still goes against the point of something being “private”
They shouldn;t have ever been in possession of user data they could disclose this way

@puniko It;s a little weird but tbf if having a valid alternative to TikTok means less people use it, especially that less people depend on it, then that;s probably a good thing
Though I really dunno how that would work because platforms like TikTok operate entirely around The Algorithm

@puniko I mean, I kinda do think PixelFed is poorly built actually, unless it improved a lot recently. I tried to host my artwork there and it was just constant federation problems. And that was on snug.moe, so I really doubt it;s a sysadmin issue
