I had an “Ad Blockers are not allowed on YouTube" popup on YouTube in Safari today.

Not long ago, I was hopeful that YouTube's ad free subscription service would come to the UK, but no... it's been shelved, so ad-free YouTube Premium is the only option, which would be fine if it weren't the most expensive streaming subscription out of just about everything.

🍄 I'm finding stock cubes to be way too salty now, effectively making anything I add them to taste the same, unless I overpower with other ingredients.

So, the past couple of weeks, I've been making up Mushroom Dashi as I need it. It's worked out far better, and leaves room for other flavours!

Does anyone else just use a plain desktop or phone/tablet wallpaper? I was trying to find something on my desktop, and just couldn’t because of the cluttered wallpaper.

I've now just switched to a solid color and feel calmer already

😩 I wish there was a button I could push to turn off, or at least pause my facial hair growth.

Shaving is a chore, and if I leave it, I’m fine for a couple of days until it itches, and then I have no choice but to de-fuzz!

Not to ask for solutions, but just to talk?

I wouldn't want to burden people who I connect with on this account with such things, as that's not what this account is about.

Sometimes I wonder if it's worth posting which shows I'm watching, which games (video and tabletop) I’m playing, and which books I’m reading.

I don't think it would be all that interesting to most... I ‘could' add it to my status page I guess. Anything more than that is just another thing to maintain.

It used to be Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and maybe a blog somewhere, but now, it seems to be following an ‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once’ kind of model where people's engagement is spread across multiple 'similar’ spaces.

Just putting this out there. I HATE the WHOLE process of buying a car.

It should be a fun, enjoyable experience, but honestly… it's not. There's obstacles everywhere I'm looking whether it's distance, price, mileage, insurance price... everything.

If I could order one online, I would, but those are currently out of my price range by about £2k

I had one yesterday, and it wiped me out most of the afternoon. I need to find out what’s causing it so I bought a blood sugar checker to use when it next happens as I’m 99% sure it’s food related (or lack of)
