@andycarolan oh they’re lovely, Andy. I’ll buy them for sure, but I also agree with what @maique has said with regards to pricing when you consider what you’ve paid for the app itself. It’s always a tricky area.
@purplelime Yup, completely agree. As I said, I will probably do the Free+PWYW thing again. I would rather see them being used than attempt to make money from them. @maique
@andycarolan Love the icons, and would probably get them. The price seems fair when you consider the number of icons, and the work involved, of course. If you put them side by side with the app where I’d use them, Mona, they do feel a tad expensive. They would basically cost the same as Pro unlock of a very full featured app. Pricing is tricky.
@maique I completely agree 100% with what you said about pricing especially. I think I might make it a Free+ (pay what you want) on Ko-fi. I’m more interested in getting the icons out there than money from it (although it is nice to get a few pennies for them lol) @purplelime
@alexandra I don't know about the pricing. There's 24 icons in the pack, which I thought was fairly reasonable. I've never sold a small pack of custom icons before lol, only for more corporate desktop apps. @maique@purplelime
Personally I'd say that was on the high side too, but I'm also very cheap and am the kind of person to spend the best part of an hour sifting through free icon packs 😅
I love the design though, super cute as always! I just personally wouldn't spend a tenner to change one app's icon on my screen(s).
@sarajw Thanks for the input. Yup, I totally get that. This is the feedback I need. I've never done packs of icons on Ko-fi before, so it's just something I'm playing with :) @alexandra@maique@purplelime
@habibcham No worries! All feedback is good. They not specifically designed to look like Ivory's icons, just a flat style elephant face for anyone that wants to customise the look of their desktop . @maique@purplelime
@habibcham I do get the confusion, especially because I used the word “Ivory" in the app alias lol. I used that as the source of the alias because it was the same shape as the icon I put together lolol @maique@purplelime
I actually saw the alias later on. Scrolling my timeline the large image jumped out at me and my thoughts straightaway was ‘oh new Ivory icons’ expecting the toot to be from Mark teasing upcoming icons as usual.
@habibcham btw, while you're here. I solved my Mail read-syncing issue between devices.
Although everything was sending and receiving ok, I checked the port numbers on each device, and some weren't correct. I grabbed the correct ones from Dreamhost (my mailbox provider), made sure everything was the same. And now all reads and deletes etc are syncing correctly.
It may not be the same cause for you, but I thought I would mention it!
@andycarolan I was so excited thinking ‘hallelujah’ I’m about to read a solution to this annoying issue but alas, using Apple Mail I can’t edit those port numbers I don’t think! Dang! 😆
@habibcham I'm using Apple Mail across Mac, iPhone and iPad. I did notice that there was a setting “Automatically manage connection settings” which it did, incorrectly.
Here's the info on how to do it on the Mac. You will need to check your mailbox provider for the correct SMTP port numbers though.
