I generally get two types of people contact me on LinkedIn… marketers, and people asking for advice (or work).

But occasionally, someone will contact me about a job, so I need to maintain an account on there, even if I don’t update it all that often.

@cyacyacya_nide Oh yes... there's plenty of that too. People reaching out to connect, with what appears to be no goal other than to pad their own numbers. I find the whole platform very false…and It's all very click-baity.

I do have some interesting interactions with some companies that I've worked with... like when they achieve something, or have bought a new piece of equipment to help their business grow.

There's a clear influencer culture there however.

I definitely have to have things planned out with my work... but I think that's the same with any self-employed business. I've been doing it for so long now that I have a process that I follow.

Progress comes in many forms... sometimes I feel like I'm moving backwards. Other times, a breakthrough results in a new way of doing things. There's a lot of unstructured practice, many ‘happy accidents' as Bob Ross used to say. Much the same as any creative pursuit I imagine!
