Blahaj’s admin has refederated with Hexbear, using most Blahaj users unhappy and baffled. No communication from the admins regarding the change, though one user speculated it was a halloween trick. Multiple pings to the admin Ada have gone unanswered, even though Ada is clearly still active on Lemmy.
I removed hexbear from the blocklist, as they are defederated from us, and I was unaware that it would mean that hexbear users and blahaj users would be able to interact on 3rd party instances. I’ll add them back for now.
Ultimately, the reason I removed them from the list now is that once we have the ability to let users block instances on a per user level, I am open to the idea of refederating with hexbear, because I am aware that many of their trans and gender diverse users want the ability to connect with our trans communities, and trans solidarity is something that I hold to be very important. Enough that I am willing to give this all another go.
However, it was only meant to happen after blahaj users had the option to opt out of interacting with hexbear users, and after I had made an announcement letting people know it was coming. I apologise for the screw up leading to a mini refederation before I gave people a heads up and before the tools were in place to let people choose whether they engage with hexbear users.

a metal grating with enough of a offset of the ground/ramp that snow can fall through/get pushed through and be periodically removed from below the grates. (Maybe remove the planks and replace them with gratings.)

I hate having long sections between hyphens because they have no indication whether they are the opening ot closing ones — they also don’t allow nesting – or do they? – — which is done well by parentheses.
Actually it’s not a printer this machine is much more sinister. A machine that is used to oppress people. They use this machine to divide humankind and go against each other […]
It really depends how your tunnels are built, but ropes going in different directions are probably a good obstacle that could be removed from the outside by untying some simple knots in case there is a problem inside.
Anyways, here is what I typed out before I noticed you wanted to build tunnels:
I think a small bridge made out of a wood frame and a net could be interesting.
By having the net hang in a U shaped cross section the kids can’t fall of to the side, while allowing you to help out from above.
If the net is hung loosely it softens falls and keeps it a challenge as they grow, but it might be difficult to traverse for small children. If you want it pulled tight I recommend some parallel ropes at the bottom to walk on.
Also a tilted plane with wooden holds or a knotted rope.
A new type of AI model that can beat humans at all types of games, not just individual ones, may be a step towards AGI. (www.newscientist.com)
