I hate getting rid of books, but apparently not half as much as books hate being got rid of ๐Ÿ˜ฌโœŒ๏ธ

This bunch were mostly duplicates or water-damaged (as was the box, evidently), although perhaps Iโ€™ll regret not having those calculus textbooks in my life any more ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@markmccaughrean I once did buy a pair of blue crocs for a colleague who would wear bright red/pink ones in the office. I decided that if crocs were to be present at least they would not be offensive to the eye. He still has them.

The basis for open data, open science, including for commercial exploitation, is that industry pays taxes and these same taxes fund some science.

When industry chooses to not pay taxes, the deal is broken.

We donโ€™t see commercially funded research in the public domain. The license to use open data should preclude tax avoidance or minimisation schemers.
