I hate getting rid of books, but apparently not half as much as books hate being got rid of 😬✌️
This bunch were mostly duplicates or water-damaged (as was the box, evidently), although perhaps I’ll regret not having those calculus textbooks in my life any more 🤷♂️
@markmccaughrean I once did buy a pair of blue crocs for a colleague who would wear bright red/pink ones in the office. I decided that if crocs were to be present at least they would not be offensive to the eye. He still has them.
apparently the red dots and red arrows are tankers transferring Russian oil to other tankers which then is no longer embargoed and can be 'safely' be sold .... All in international waters so no-one can do anything about it.

@jaztrophysicist indeed there is plenty that does not make it out but those ideas and results will expire with time. Even the published ones have a limited shelf life. The unpublished will be rediscovered sometime later.
Trying to not fly. Was going to take the train from Munich to Leiden tomorrow. This morning I get a message that tomorrow there’s going to be a strike. Changing to today is an absolute nightmare on the Bahn website and don’t get me started on the unmitigated disaster that is the app.
@knud from Heidelberg it makes little sense to fly. From Munich it’s the difference between doing it in a day or 3 days. Assuming you work some of the time on the train (current neighbours not making it easy) it’s bearable. It’s not effective nor efficient. Still here I am on the way to Arnhem …
