I was thinking maybe more people on foot and on bikes are being killed by drivers because there are more SUVs/trucks, but this @ggwash post has a graph that shows that drivers of passenger cars have been killing more people too.

Q3. What are the staff like at your local bike shops? @glightly asks:

Is your local bike shop (LBS) mechanic staff all male? If not, can you ballpark the % of women and non-binary bike mechanics? (Should extend this to all-white as well... something we should be conscious of if we're not already, ask ourselves what this makes our local cycle community feel like.)

@HayiWena @enobacon I ended up taking the path in purple. There was only one car at the intersection on the right as I approached, and the long bike is hard to make sharp turns with.

It is with great sadness that I announce: all the bicycles in my building have been taken. Including my two beloved, wonderful, retro steel bikes. I’m in shock obviously but I also feel calm (not my first rodeo). I’m very glad I had the opportunity to build and ride such nice bikes. If you see a vintage Rivendell and a Soma MTB, please let me know.

Bicycle advisory committee presentation about " declaration" work "depending on funding" is so totally absurd. save you money, cars cost obscene amounts of money to serve... Totally bullshit strategy that you'll somehow get people out of their cars without cutting back on how much debt you rack up encouraging them to drive 🤡 💸 💸 💸
