This is Snowball.
Snowball was an unwanted pet due to allergies and lack of time commitment.
She was originally bought from a breeder for £500 as a British Short Haired kitten.

It turns out not only is she NOT a BSH kitten, she also has mildflu, and is deaf!

Snowball is already feeling much better however due to her being deaf, she is very vocsl and needs constant reassurance too.

We are currently getting Snowball to the best health she possibly can be prior to adoption.

Almost 5 weeks ago att around 10 days old Hilda was taken into a vets as she was found on a building site alone.
The builders searched for mum and siblings but to no avail.

Hilda has been looked after around the clock by volunteers at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary and look hiw amazing she is looking.

Hilda is now starting to wean and is eating "big girl kitten food".

Whilst Hilda is doing amazingly well she is still too young to be considered for adoption.

Rosa Update!
Imagine almost 7 months ago this little lady came into our lives at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary.

193 days of uncertainty and little chance of survival.

Vets said "those wounds will never heal", people said "she cant possibly see" volunteers questioned her future quality of life.. yet we never ever gave up on her.

Look at little Meadow in her new Boob Tube at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary. Meadow is now 15 weeks old and has been with us 10 weeks.

When Meadow first came to us she had been bathed in bleach as her owners believed it woukd deal with her flea infestation. Unfortunately the bleach almost killed her. She had widespread chemical burns throughout her body, in her mouth and throat.

bcwrkittens,

Meadow has healed really well and is a very happy kitten however is still unable to eat. Yesterday she had another oesophageal tube surgically plsce as her previous one had slipped out over time. Her little boob tube holds her O. tube in place.

Meadow is fed Royal Canin Recovery Liquid and is currently clocking up a £15 a day habit in nutrition! In all honesty we do not know if her mouth and throat will ever heal and we are currently exploring longterm nutrition solutions with specialist vets.

New arrival at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary .
This is baby Bruno.
At hours old (if that) Bruno was found alone and taken in to Abbey House Veterinary Hospital on Wednesday.
Shortly after, we collected Bruno to offer him intensive and supportive care.

Bruno will have virtually no immunity and being motherless at such a yiung age, his prognosis is very guarded. Our Critical Care volunteers are doing their best and started with feeding Bruno every 30 mins.

Inca had been under the care of another rescue for the last few days and has been an inpatient at Abbey house vets at the weekend.

Unfortunately Tuesday afternoon the other rescue felt that they couldn't care adequately for her and contacted us.

She had already been collected by the other rescue despite being mid treatment.
We agreed to take on Inca.

bcwrkittens,

Inca is approximately 3 month old, extremely under nourished, dehydrated, anorexic has a terribly sore mouth, is pyrexic and hasn't eaten for days.
As soon as Inca arrived with us we returned to Abbey House Veterinary Hospital on welfare grounds so she could continue the care she so desperately needs to have a chance of survival.

Little Inca has since been in our care for over 48 hours however has spent all that time at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital having emergency life saving treatment.

bcwrkittens,

Inca has spent those 2 days on intravenous fluids, had strong painkillers and antibiotics.
Her mouth is red raw and full of ulceration.

Unfortunately, due to the pain in her mouth Inca is unable to eat and it would seem that she didn't eat for at least 6 days prior to the esophageal being surgically placed.

Inca will be fed small amounts every 3 hours.

bcwrkittens,

Unfortunately saving Incas life has come at a price. For the last 48 hours critical care Incas care has amounted up to just over £2000.

This is a phenomenal amount of money for us to spend on emergency care and her specialist nutrition and drugs will cost over £16 per day whilst we continue to nurse her at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary on our critical care ward.

bcwrkittens,

Could you donate just £1 towards Incas life saving veterinary care that she has received over the last 48 hours and hopefully will continue to receive at Northcote Veterinary Surgery over the coming weeks.

All the ways you can help are on our website:

This is little Mo.

Mo came to us over the weekend due to Mo's deteriorating health. Mo was found as a stray in Leeds and the finders made every attempt to find the owner and in the end decided to take full responsibility for him.

They took him to their vets where he had all the necessary checks and had his first vaccination.

bcwrkittens,

He remains just under 2kg, around the weight and size of a 4 month old kitten.
....born very premature, no fur, weighing 40g, skin like tissue paper, no suckle reflex, was drip fed every 20 mins and spent weeks in intensive care.

Now at 1 year old he really is a miracle.. however insists on having all his meals in his private dining area.

This one just makes me smile.

This is Cokie. He is around 5 months old.

Cokie was found by officers West Yorkshire Police in a drugs related incident.

Cokie was found in a Drug and needles infused property in Bradford. Cokie will be checked over by our vets.

This is 16 year old Snowie.

Snowie was handed in as a stray in ƁD2, to a vets in Bradford. Through the microchip the owner was traced however when contacted it soon became evident that the owners didnt want him.

The easiest vets kept him in the practice to assess for a few days prior to contacting us. Snowie is such a sweet lad however he does have early signs of skin cancer. We hope that Snowie will be rehomed under our Silver Whiskers partnership as an indoor cat.

Just look at Magnificent Muriel.

This is last Saturday, just 48 hours after major Orthopaedic Surgery Muriel is standing and walking about and appears very comfortable and happy. Thank you to everyone who has donated to her surgery and care so far, and a special thank you to both amazing teams at Northcote Veterinary Surgery and Leeds Veterinary Centre.

Look who has been to the vets yesterday for a review and planning for her hopefully last surgery! Rosa has been with us 23 weeks, that’s almost 6 months and finally her recovery goals are in sight.

Rosa’s final groundbreaking surgery will hopefully take place on 22nd August 2023.
I’m sure you will all agree that Rosa has literally overcome the impossible.

I can’t believe its 25 days since little Nemo came into our care at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary. Barely breathing, barely alive, wounded.. and just look at him now!!

Naughty Nemo is now out of intensive care and looking forward to join his new family on Sunday.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Nemo on his journey to recovery especially the team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery and our friends at Abbey House who saw him out of hours.

In just 13 days at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary look at the difference in Mildred!!
We are delighted with her recovery and today she got lots of little food parcels to open too.
Mildred loved opening her gifts of Applaws Chicken and is excited to be booked in for her first vaccination next week.
Thankyou to everyone who has supported Mildred so far in her recovery especially the team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery .

This is Muriel.
Muriel was abandoned by her owner some time ago. A neighbour took her in and looked after her and has been feeding her regularly and offered refuge.
Unfortunately a few days ago Muriel went "home" injured.
She was taken to a nearby vets however the neighbour was not in a position to provide the the care required for a badly injured cat.

Unfortunately poor muriel has a oblique fracture of tibia and fibula which will result in majo surgery.
