bermuda,

Plenty of developers also use GitHub for software distribution for end users, so that’s where the problems lie. I’m not saying GitHub should change their UI to match something the site wasn’t made for, but it’s still an issue for people who choose to use it that way.

bermuda,

If somebody doesn’t have an idea of what they’re talking about (allegedly) then it would be far more productive to explain it than to keep arguing about it without actually solving anything.

bermuda,

I just don’t see that.

bermuda,

links to 11 year old thread for tangentially related Windows Vista problem, locks current thread

bermuda,

South Africa is .za from Zuid-Africa, the dutch term for the country

bermuda,

Not to mention a large amount of NFL players don’t play for very long. A quick Google shows an average player career of just 3.3 years, which is ridiculously short even by modern sports standards. The average goes down depending on which position there is as well. Most other major sports have an average of 5 - 8 years for careers.

Imagine getting to the NFL and then only staying for a couple years. Sure you’re set for life with that paycheck but expecting somebody who’s like 24 years old at most to be able to be financially responsible with that money is just absurd.

bermuda,

Statistically it used to be like Arkansas but it’s improved a lot these past few years. Still a long way to go though, I don’t think I’d ever move there as it stands

The Witness Appreciation Post

I got the urge to play the witness for the 3rd (or maybe even 4th) time again after being slightly disappointed by the Talos Principle 2, and man I cannot express enough how much I enjoy this game. It just satisfies something deep inside me every time I play it. And I know a LOT of people (probably some here) strongly dislike...

bermuda,

It’s on PS4, so there should be backwards compatibility

bermuda,

Eh it’s fine ill just type it here.

Basically I was disappointed by the lack of star variety and the very predictable story. The environments were pretty but I also disliked that the devs put more effort into preventing alternate solutions, those were some of my favorite aspects of the first game.

The stars were 100% the biggest issue though. They were some of the most fun parts of the first game, but in 2 once you solved some of them you pretty much knew how to do the rest, and they became a major chore instead of a puzzle.

bermuda,

I remember watching a documentary a long time ago about somebody similar who was a kid growing up. You could see him biking around his neighborhood while clicking. And his eyes were missing just like this person in the documentary.

A large part of the one I watched was about the kid being forced to learn caning and other techniques despite already being familiar with echolocation.

bermuda,

That’s because they were led by the rich landowners.

bermuda,

Maybe I should target him for ‘improperly applied hair dye’

Germany unearths pro-Russia disinformation campaign on X: Investigators uncover concerted onslaught on Berlin’s support for Ukraine involving more than 1m posts (www.theguardian.com)

The German foreign ministry, which commissioned the study after suspecting it was being targeted by bots, said the findings highlighted the need for governments to systematically tackle the growing number of disinformation campaigns and recognise the effect they could have on elections.

bermuda,

You’ve literally accused everybody who disagrees with you of either trolling or lying. I think you need a break from the Internet.

bermuda,

Again, take a break. Enjoy the block list

bermuda,

Lot of much more constructive answers here but I just wanna say that if you update a game so it no longer has unintuitive controls then I’m all for it

bermuda,

Try Katamari Damacy on tank controls.

bermuda,

I used to live in a fairly Republican area of the country and you’re 100% correct. It’s not something people watch, it’s just that fox is always in the background. bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, the country club, it’s the default TV channel wherever you go. If you ask to change the channel people look at you like you’ve gone insane.
