Call me beyond sceptical but this will probably turn out just as many of the trials before it that had no viable results once out of in vitro phase - because pharmaceutical industry (which is probably the most corrupt industry in the world) would not allow (at least at this time) a drug that can singlehandedly wipe out enormous chunk of their earnings.
I have Crohn’s, you have no idea how many times I’ve read about “breakthrough” and “miracle” drugs that will “cure” Crohn’s that end up not viable in double blind studies.
Agree, progress is nice. But, drugs for diseases we don’t know how to cure yet are based on presumptions what might cause the disease and they have all been wrong so far (regarding cancer and Crohn’s).
Thank you. I had my fair share of trouble when I was younger, but now I’m OK. Hope your friend gets better, too!
I don’t believe that a drug that would be taken for some time, no matter the cost, would be more cost-beneficial to pharma company more than all the drugs combined to treat cancer (first occurence and likely possible relapses).
Lets assume we develop the capacity to create virtual worlds that are near indistinguishable from the real world. We hook you up into a machine and you now find yourself in what effectively is a paraller reality where you get to be the king of your own universe (if you so desire). Nothing is off limits - everything you’ve ever...
Is there any android app or web app with movie ratings and reviews? Android app would be better. Alternative to imdb? I want to be able to fast check the rating of movie or list of actors. I know about wikipedia app but it’s interface is not focused on movies. Thanks in advance!
Viewers are divided over whether the film should have shown Japanese victims of the weapon created by physicist Robert Oppenheimer. Experts say it's complicated.
Film is told from Oppenheimer’s perspective, I see no problem with it. Especially as it is shown that he had trouble with moral questions over creating a bomb and using it. And there is a really powerful scene with him being troubled with the Japan bombing and imagines bomb being detonated while he gives speech.
Agree. Marijuana creates mostly psychological dependance. I was also addicted but when I decided to stop I had practically no physical side-effects, although I did “crave” it in my mind for a week or two.

“Homes are sinking into the ocean”, except those are isolated cases as oceans in total are not rising. You’re quite an alarmist. Exactly what the article is about. Also, you’re completely ignoring mitigation tactics that will be implemented - one of them being migration, just like you said. And it won’t happen in a year or two, but in several decades. So no, people won’t extinct, calm down.
There are no upticks in number of fires, only percentage of acres they consume. US data, for example (below). Now, you can ignore the data and continue drumming that climate change is causing more fires, but that is not a fact.
While many believe young people are becoming more liberal, data shows that 12th grade boys are nearly twice as likely to identify as conservative compared to liberal. No, those personalities rose due to the mainstream (mainly left) not being able to discuss normal masculinity and overall only portraying masculinity as something toxic. When you go in one radical direction, you get radical response (Tate, etc).
We need normal, non-partisan discussion and stance towards masculinity.
