An interesting and entertaining read: "Investigating why Steam started picking a random font"

A few days ago I dared to move my desktop from and to and . My muscle memory is making the switch a little difficult, but overall I'm quite happy.

Attaching a second monitor while the system is running doesn't work though...

I created a cursed shell script as part of a private project to convert a directory full of Markdown files into a directory full of HTML files, including an index file.

In the end, however, that script was too ugly to gather dust in a private repository. I present you: ssg.sh - static site generator in a shell. Use at your own risk!

A few physical bodies, a few sprites and particles and somehow the result is something surprisingly hypnotic. I call it "The Dance of Rockets".

A few rockets that drag a swarm of particles behind them and seem to dance with each other when they collide.

Do you have a chill DOS game that you revisit when you want to relax?

Does anyone know a real-life situation where scanners, software, or some OCR feature quietly altered a scanned PDF document? E.g. your document stated "666" but after it was scanned/OCRed/compressed, it became "866".

I vaguely recall reading about one such example before but so far have only been able to find the Xerox 2013 case (https://www.theverge.com/2013/8/6/4594482/xerox-copiers-randomly-replacing-numbers-in-documents)
