camelbeard,

Ukraine is a sovereign nation that got attacked by another country.

Palestine just carried out a horrible attack on Israel. Plus the history of Israel and Palestine is totally different. It’s just apples and oranges. I’m not claiming in any way Israel is right here, but Hamas is definitely scum of the Earth.

camelbeard,

Also just looking at history isn’t going to solve anything. If that was the only solution we can just get any map remove all borders everywhere and discus how to draw them based on history. We all know this is just going to be a never ending discussion because it just depends on what snapshot in time (of the world) you take as your truth.

camelbeard,

Teams always has been shit with Firefox, while there is no reason to be shit. Like people said higher in the comments, if you change the user agent to edge magically new features are enabled.

Also Microsoft claimed to support Linux while in reality they made some half assed desktop client, and dropped support about a year later.

Slack was so much better, I really really hate that our office went with teams. Also for some strange reason teams is the only “website” that seems to crash my entire laptop once in a while and its the only app that makes my phone super hot.

camelbeard,

So the 2008 economic crisis never happened? Where I live (Europe) houses are actually going down in value right now too.

camelbeard,

What’s the problem? If you don’t buy a house you need to rent one, houses aren’t free. Yeah those owners never worked for it, but isn’t that the case with every rich kid? Why don’t you buy a crappy house you can fix up yourself?

camelbeard,

www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/…/figure-1.jpg

It’s not so simple…

Like if you had bought a house in 2005 you’d have been stuck in it for a long time unless you are willing to take a loss. Offcouse in the long term prices are going up, that’s inevitable with inflation and our current system.

camelbeard,

It’s super solid logic, let’s all spend way way more time at home, cook a lot more meals at home, still go outside because we still need food and stuff, but at the same time clean our homes less.

Solid logic right there from OP

camelbeard,

You probably don’t have kids with Legos and other toys?

camelbeard,

It’s all BS and I tried to Google that shit

camelbeard,

I’m pretty sure there are plenty of people that think they never got it, but just had zero (or almost zero) symptoms and just never knew.

My son was born 4 months before the pandemic. Because he went to daycare me and my wife always felt like we had a cold or something. I tested and tested and tested even more. For me it was also really late (at least 2021, maybe even later) that one was positive. The actual thing was so much more mild than all those flu’s and colds we had before.

camelbeard,

I guess out of all places the toilet is where I realize my smell is slowly coming back.

camelbeard,

Thanks that was really interesting and also scary, I really fucking hope my sense of smell will come back fully. Right now a beer is almost tasteless, same goes for pizza. I need both in my life!

camelbeard,

What I never understood (not from America), is that one party claims to really care about freedom and less involved government.

Whenever I hear that I think cool, so the freedom to have full autonomy over your body? Legal drugs, abortion, etc. Or the freedom to marry who you want, whatever gender. The freedom to legally end your own life, for example if you are terminally ill.

But usually it’s just large companies shouldn’t pay tax and we want guns, but for everything else fuck freedom.

camelbeard,

Exactly, teams with Firefox can’t do a lot of things, but pretend to be edge and all of a sudden magically new features work now.

camelbeard,

Thanks, I also looked it up and for mostly links about the Belgian government login.

camelbeard,

Would be nice if we could call them TWATS

camelbeard,

I used mint for a long time, the only reason I switched is that my Nvidia card was preventing mint to boot/install on my new laptop. I didn’t want to spent hours on it tried a few distros until one worked (Manjaro). I like Manjaro now, but might have to try mint again (laptop is a few years old so it will probably work now).

I think the average person just simply doesn't care about their privacy.

In some of the music communities I’m in the content creators are already telling their userbase to go follow them on threads. They’re all talking about some kind of beef between Elon and Mark and the possibility of a boxing match… Mark was right to call the people he’s leaching off of fucking idiots.

camelbeard,

I think for most people it’s “semi aware but just don’t care”.

Yeah Facebook is bad but so is the government etc etc

Hang around security professionals for a while and you’ll realize just how bad things can get. This is the only thing I really miss from Twitter, an interesting group of security professionals I followed.
