Against the carceral state. That said, the behavior will not change if incentives do not change.

Increasingly, the only option for securing data is not to produce data at all. At least for as long as the turboclowns running the corporate circuses suffer no real consequences from their massive security fails.

Overnight!

More realistically, rather than hold oligarchs and bosses accountable, I expect that governments will socialize the cost and responsibility through cyber agencies, like what we're seeing now with CISA in the US. Given a choice, I'd rather see meaningful improvements in digital security over what we have now...

But what I really want is for the CEO and board members of Equifax to cut me a check, personally.
