chemslayer,

Well, 2, since you have 3 opponents and myriad doesn’t make a token for the original you’re attacking. So it’s puts it closer to on-level for 3 mana green ramp, but getting extra attackers and all the eldrazi spawn synergies is still great

chemslayer,

Yep, notably this doesn’t have all the basic land types like nearby planet does, which both means it can’t produce any color with a simple tap, and also means it doesn’t auto-fulfill all your domain with one land. It’s not strictly worse since Nearby has the Rupture Spire pay 1 clause, but Nearby is overall way more powerful assuming you can take advantage of domain-type abilities

chemslayer,

So now we’re making actual people into magic cards eh?

I know he was in the assassins creed games, but it’s still funny to have an actual historical figure as a magic card. Can’t wait for my Teddy Roosevelt mono-green commander!

chemslayer,

We did get a dredge card fairly recently in [[Shenanigans]], the key here was a niche (but okay priced) effect + a low dredge number. Brings it more in line with the original “fair” use of dredge (re buying useful cards)

chemslayer,

Hate everything about this, and I’ve been a secret lair diehard from day 1. I love the cool art treatments, I buy the overpriced basic lands, I really enjoy the crossovers even when I don’t personally care about the property, overall a big fan. But what I do NOT like is turning it into hyper-FOMO “buy quick or never get it again!!” bullshit. Having them be limited to the sale was fine because you got like a month to think about it, being forced to buy it in the first (day? Hour? Minute??) or else the stock disappears means I won’t bother, I respect myself too much for that nonsense.

chemslayer,

Bought Portal 1 + 2 for my love, they’d never played them before and they’re tied for my all-time favorite game so couldn’t pass it up for $1.98. Plus always on the lookout for co-op games to play :D

For me, I finally bought Cyberpunk 2077, although funnily enough I decided to buy it on GoG since they’re the actual developers of the game. Is working perfect through Heroic so far, although to be fair I’ve only made it just past the intro

chemslayer,

Oh thank goodness. Locust God is my baby, and I’m very happy with my Italian foil copy I have right now, but I was considering if I wanted this to have it. But no way I’m spending $200 for it lol

chemslayer,

Oh shiiiit, Nagas are becoming snakes! Finally the tribals can make sense!

chemslayer,

Woah that’s a cool take on Act of Treason! You want to actually hit with what you steal instead of just sac it or whatever. (Granted you probably still sac it, but at least you have the one extra hoop).

chemslayer,

Ha nice! Cool to see another Skullbriar effect after all this time. I like that all the counters she can give herself are useful without being oppressive

chemslayer,

Crazy that Binding of Isaac is still in there, it’s been years since the last release and it’s not really in the public consciousness the same way something like Vampire Survivors is. Fantastic game though, happy to see it continue to succeed

chemslayer,

Since it’s silver-border it falls under silver-border judging rules, which states “C’mon, friend, you know what a toy is, don’t be a cheese”

chemslayer,

Agreed, I love em. My only complaint is we’ve only had one set of them so far, and while there’s a few standouts ([[Invasion of Segovia]] in Locust God is nasty), overall they were obviously designed on the safer side. Excited to see where the design space leads as they get more confident in the card type

chemslayer,

Oh shit, Isaac 2!

Actually to the point, I didn’t even have Mewgenics on my radar, but it is now. To be honest, being real-time (and thus skill based) is one of my favorite parts of Isaac, since it allows you to clutch victories even with bad RNG in ways you can’t always do with turn based games. Either way I respect him trying something different and will definitely try the new game on pedigree alone.

Interesting too that he’s admitted the lack of item info is a regret. I do use “that mod” (the super popular item descriptions mod) and I honestly can’t imagine playing again without it, it’s just such a nice QoL

chemslayer,

Aw, cowards made “Counterspell with Downside”, instead of our usual “Cancel with Upside”. Image if we got a cancel that made a food, or if I’m being greedy a cancel that bargains to cast for U

chemslayer,

Oh man, one of my friends loves playing other people’s cards, and has built basically every commander that does so, or at least makes it a major theme. Finally he gets to steal at a pretty good rate, instant speed reverse divination is good and the dragon is a nice kicker

chemslayer,

My Locust God deck will be watching the Bargain mechanic with great interest. This one ain’t it (since it doesn’t “draw” the cards) but I’m hopeful

chemslayer,

Hmm, currently I run [[Unlicensed Hearse]] as my grave hate in Locust God. This hits one less thing, but +1/+1 counters are probably more useful than a slowly growing vanilla body, and occasionally it will have upside with the activated abilities thing. Tough choice

Remember that Subnautica time capsules are still being approved, and need your help to upvote the good ones (subnautica.unknownworlds.com)

If you look at that site, time capsules are coming in every few minutes. Unknown Worlds manually approves them, and it’s a slow process. But I figure more people upvoting them can’t hurt. Plus you get to view some beautiful screenshots and messages. Most time capsules just sit there and get zero upvotes. So be the change you...

chemslayer,

Aw man, I get why they don’t want to blow out their pacing with time capsules, but I thought I’d given a cool power boost with my capsule with an ion powercell in it. Wish the game told you that it wasn’t allowed

Help, is Anyone able to get the GoG version of Bauldurs Gate 3 running on the deck?

Hello y’all, I’m at my wits end. I got the GoG version of BG3 (cause DRM free yay!), but for the love of me I cannot get it to work. I’ve done so much googling and so many workarounds, I’ve installed .net, I’ve skipped the launcher, I’ve used the alternate .exe, I’ve tried proton experimental and 8 and hotfix, but...

chemslayer,

Nope, nothing, I haven’t really modded my deck at all. I did have dexky just for steamgriddb and protondb badges, but I uninstalled both of those and then dexky itself just to be sure and no changes

chemslayer,

Still failed :/ If I can ask, when did you get your steam deck? Maybe there’s subtle manufacturing differences causing the issue? I got mine Sept 2022

chemslayer,

Honestly, same, my buying habits did a full 180 (I use to wait to get a game on GoG, now I never do). But my witcher 3 I had on GoG worked great even if it was a little less convenient, and BG3 seems like a game I’ll want to have forever, so I figured why not. Unfortunate that they had to go and give me a reason why not…

chemslayer,

Thanks for the hot tip, after spending 10+ hours struggling I’m just refunding and going to get it on steam. Having to zip my own backup is slightly annoying, but much less so than this nonsense

chemslayer,

I gave up, so many workarounds and reinstalls and everything for nothing. I’ve refunded and purchased through steam. Luckily someone else in this thread gave me a tip even the steam version is DRM-free, so that’s nice

chemslayer,

I attempted, it got done downloading most of the BG3 installers, and then… It all just disappeared? No record of the files or downloads anywhere. Since it took an hour+ I gave up on that angle
