While awesome, would it be out of scope to award it to everyone on the team? I’m sure there were plenty of additional people who’s efforts were critical to the mission’s success.

and the first thing they tell us is “don’t worry, the data’s fine”, rather than anything about the human.
I do agree it would have been significantly more considerate to mention that the person is ok first, but I feel like you’re confusing data storage (ie something they’re collecting) with data processing (ie how the device operates). The data in question is the latter. In other words, they are explaining that the problems are being accounted for so that the device can still function in the human it’s attached to.

Reactions like this are less than useful. These studies aren’t discovering climate change is bad, they’re investigating its effects and reach, and are the only hope we have to possibly avert, or just lessen, the bleak future ahead of us. Dismissing then with sarcastic comments does a disservice to the people doing this important work.

I’m not gonna pretend he deserves anyone’s pity or that you should change your opinion here, but acting like 18 is some magic age where someone is suddenly completely responsible and free of childish impulses/problems is ridiculous. Society may need to set an age for accountability in a legal sense, but socially, humans just don’t work that way.
His only driving force is too gain money/power. “Owning libs” does that to an extent, but catering to meat/cattle industry lobbyists is much more effective.
“Bring back”? They already exist. There are an endless number of small devs out there. Most of them don’t have good games, let alone “titles of substance”, so you have to do some work yourself to find the good stuff rather than expecting a constant stream of approved content to just fall in your lap.
It’s hard to get a name that is easily understandable by most people. Appending “-like” to popular/institutional games is useful in that regard. It is nice when a good name is coined, though.
On that note, nothing’s stopping you from making your own suggestions. If everyone just waits for someone else to do it, it’s less likely to happen at all.
